Judge Laura Drager is being urged to step down by 200 litigants for corruption. ..See Change.org. She is a very destructive judge. She works on making rich men richer by making rich lawyers richer. She has no qualms about hurting innocent children, to close a business deal.

Hon. Drager is always prepared, reads the papers submitted by the attorneys and genuinely cares. She is astute and knows the law very well. It's a pleasure for an attorney appear in front of her because she is fair.

How is this Judge still on the bench? Everyone knows her reputation. It's not a secret. She isn't even a full judge but an Acting judge. She bullies the woman to submission with threats, doesn't enforce non-payment of support or non-payment of medical bills, she threatens children's tuition, medical payments and so on. Who does she think she is?

Ha!ha!ha! Did Ken Burrows write the below comment? Is it ethical to make women and children victims of her court room? Ethical to refuse the poorer spouse legal fees when due process and constitutional rights are routinely violated? My ex refused to fund a medical account in our 2006 Stipulation. Despite 3 court orders over 5 years mandating ex keep it filled, and proper notice of default served, refused to award legal fees. My ex makes $17 M a year, I get $140k child support. Last time she threatened me, that despite his manifold breaches I might have to give him legal fees. Blatantly a puppet for the monied party. Only equality is how she yells and raises her voice to all, both sides and attorneys. Unprofessional, corrupt and deserves jail time for her rape and promulgation of injustice of the bench. Once stuck, she will violate ethics and procedure to pull your case from other courts and other real judges...

I have known Laura Drager since we attended Hunter College High School.
Even then she was brilliant, honorable, ethical and a good friend.
I called her (almost 2 years ago) and asked for advice.
The advice given was within the confines of her role as a judge and was brief concise and accurate.
Although she was the 'starting' point for the complicated matrimonial issue it was a brilliant starting point.

Judge Drager is certainy corrupt. She made so many women and children homeless. She forces women to sign settlements by putting them on the street penniless. Administrative Judge Sherry Heitler knows all about her corruption but refuses to investigate and help the victims. Judge Drager also forces the lawyers to work against their clients and made them work for the monied spouse.

Laura Drager should be under criminal investigation for corruption or flagrantly allowing the rich spouse impunity to do whatever they want, flouting law, precedents and stipulations signed in her court. She enables DV abusers to continue abusing, overlooks facts and screams like a shrew. Allowed my ex to steal a Trust Fund explicitly given to my daughter and refused me a penny of the $30 k legal costs for reargument of her glaring mistake. There are many Drager victims in NYC. As my attorney says, if she won't enforce the law and has blatant bias, what else can I do? Drager is on the take, does her former court attorney (IG) arrange payments???

When I was before her, Judge Drager split her time between criminal and matrimonial. Her capricious, screaming demeanor (directed at attorneys and parties alike) might rattle criminal defendants, but is wholly out of place elsewhere. Totally unprofessional. Strong bias against non-monied spouses and less-than-rich litigants. A complete snob who favors well-heeled counsel.

This judge stands against the non-monied spouse and is against women. Angry and inappropriate. She does not allow the court reporter to record her comments.
