In a foreclosure case presented before this judge. Farneti ruled that an unlicensed servicer, who failed and refused to produce the original mortgage note and totally ignored a discovery request has established standing to foreclose. He did not even articulate his decision, just "They established standing"

Knowledgeable, smart, even handed and practical. A fine judge even though he has not always agreed with my position

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY2867
Rating:8.9
Comments:
It's rare you find a street smart yet intellectual judge. Judge Farneti is one of them. I have had two long-standing cases before him. In each case, the ultimate outcome was well-reasoned and proper. He may be a little slow on decisions and his very able law secretary Evan Zuckerman, Esq. (who one day will make a fine judge in his own right) handles alot of the conferences. The part is overly accommodating to counsel. The prior review is completely off base.

Rating:1.0
Comments:
Justice Farneti appears to be unable to identify the law(s) governing a particular action, and appears to be equally disinclined to applying the law to the facts of that action.
