Criminal Defense Lawyer

Rating:9.6
Comments:
He's a nice guy. And, for the most part, he issues good decisions and is fair (though, while on the Civil Court, he issued a decision against me that I didn't particularly like -- but I can't win them all!). Nonetheless, overall, he's a very good judge.

I'm sorry he's leaving the Supreme Court and got elevated to the Appellate Division. He will be missed as I'm before the Supreme Court exponentially more than the Appellate Division.

Comments:
a very hard working, patient , extremely fair, judge who applies the law no matter who it helps or who it hurts ; very smart and willing to reverse himself if he recognizes that he made an error, no ego and no power plays - his sole weakness is settlement

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Rating:8.5
Comments:
Fair, even-handed trial judge, good disposition, maintains order and keeps attorneys in line without being ridiculous about it. My one criticism is that he does not seem as adept with complicated commercial matters, but he will admit what he does not know and listens to the lawyers.

Very good judge. Bright, a quick study on complex issues and actually reads and understands the motion papers before oral argument. Provides a clear and reasonable basis for his rulings whether favorable or adverse.
