A political appointment with absolutely zero desire to do work. The idea that this woman makes, nah albeit takes, 150k+ of tax payer money every year and is this bad at her job makes me so concerned about our legal system. She is terribly one sided. Before appearing in front of her I can always determine how the case will go because she never decides cases on the facts rather on her own opinions. As a referee, she is useless. I once had a defendant yell at me and she did nothing to referee the situation. She is do bad it saddens me.

I had a case before this judge that had two compliance conferences. I was told that the judge was trying another case so that I had to wait. Then I was told the judge had gone to lunch, and that she'd see me and my client when she got back. She never came back from lunch and didn't call us to tell us to come back in a week. We came back in a week and we never saw her - her law secretary handled the case. We never saw her during the entire time that the matter was being adjudicated, even upon request. The adversary made ridiculous claims regarding the BOP, so we sought a motion to amend the complaint, which was denied! And discovery hadn't even begun, so she had no rationale for denying the motion. She and the law clerk clearly didn't think highly of our client - the plaintiff in a personal injury case - and practically forced us to settle.

Not much more you can ask for. Probably not a legal scholar, but you could not find a judge who is more pleasant when trying a case. She also appears very fair, respectful towards attorneys and litigants, and willing to step in or have staff work hard to resolve a case. If you get her, you should not complain.
