I Cant say good things about this judge; Alvin M YearWood Not only was he falling asleep in court while trial was going on But he is very unprofessinal and manipulates the jurry to be on his side of things. I believe all he wants to do is send people to jail instead of doing his job correctly! In my case he sent an innocent man to jail without there being ANY EVIDENCE that he commited the crime. I dont know how this man sleeps at night knowing that because of him innocent people sit in jail. What is his purpose of being a judge?

Actually one of the smarter criminal court judges. He's kind of a combination of Sidney Poitier and Napoleon Bonaparte. The Napoleon complex makes him inordinately nasty to some junior assistants and sometimes self-destructively pig-headed. He's not too bad at clearing the calendar, though.

Comments:
A generally low level of professionalism with respect to the junior ADAs, and has ridiculous requirements for them. Also, jury instructions often horrendously wrong.

Careful here! This guy has very low standards as to what consitutes "reasonable doubt." He was reversed on appeal this year in a case called People v. Belli(Mark). In his courtroom you're guilty 'til proven innocent.
