Prosecutor

Comment #: NY3491
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Not a good judge. Really. Watch it around her. There is the always present element of her racism, as she necessarily sees race as an element in most everything. She masks it well but on that unguarded occasion, it seeps out. Perhaps that is the reason she is so biased toward the defendant and will make it very difficult for the prosecution (which is healthy only if it is legitimate). She needs to go or transfer to civil.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: NY1603
Rating:8.3
Comments:
Fair to both sides. Very formal but well appreciated given the continued relaxation of courts in general.

Prosecutor

Comment #: NY868
Rating:2.3
Comments:
Being fair to defendants, especially those who are marginalized and/or indigent, is one thing and it is honorable. Blatantly skewing the entire process of criminal litigation is something else altogether.

Judge Smith . . . well, if you've ever appeared before Judge Smith, you don't need to read what I have to say. Suffice it to say, though, that I would never support Judge Smith's reappointment.

Prosecutor

Comment #: NY742
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Hostile, condescending, and extremely smug. Nakedly pro-defense.

Prosecutor

Comment #: NY560
Rating:3.1
Comments:
Pro-defense. Will actively work to complicate the prosecution, force lowball plea offers, charge 30.30 time to ensure defense benefit. She is an activist judge who uses her position to force the D.A. to jump through all hoops to get a case to trial, and to conviction.

Prosecutor

Comment #: NY341
Rating:4.0
Comments:
Very pro-defense. Be prepared to get an acquittal as soon as the case is assigned to Smith.
