I can’t think of a single positive thing to say about this so-called “judge.” In my mind, he’s everything a judge should not be, and if you are a young attorney, beware, especially if you are female. I appeared before him during a judicial conference. There’s a room where all the attorneys wait, and his staff is in the same room. He came out of his office to speak with his staff. When he turned to walk back into his office, he looked at me and said to his secretary, “On the next case [mine], I’ll see the attorneys,” and as he walked past me, he said under his breath “or whoever,” as if I wasn’t an attorney. I regret not calling him out. Shameful behavior from anyone, but especially a judge who is supposed to be a model on civility and respect. It’s really a disgrace to the legal profession that this guy is a judge.

What a nasty, prickly, arrogant person and not bright at all. If he is wrong about something, he cannot take ownership and is on the attack. Some judges have an inappropriate demeanor on the bench but are very bright and know their law and procedure. This judge’s demeanor is not only inappropriate, but he is daft. I’ve learned to say as little as possible when I appear before him; he doesn’t let you speak anyway, and his mind is made up. He’s just a fool.

This so-called Judge is very condescending and demeaning. From my personal experience, he makes no eye contact and speaks over you when you talk. I literally had to ask if I could have a turn to speak. He asked the other attorney (male) what MY client’s position was several times and never asked me. A general observation I made is that he is very engaging with the male attorneys but not the female attorneys. He is full of threats and intimidation. Guess what? I’m not scared. I will never call him “Your Honor,” because there is nothing about him that seems honorable.

his mean demeanor seems to be a cover for the fact that he is a complete dope. and his staff could be the most whacked out, anxious civil servants I have seen in 20 plus years of practice.

The judge should not be on the bench with the temperament he has. He does not allow you to say a word to state your position. Punishes attorneys by adjourning their cases for a long date not thinking about real litigants who suffer from it. The worst judge I have ever seen.

Not smart. Nasty. Demeaning, particularly to female attorneys. Doesn't even seem to understand the most basic issues. And he's dumb enough to put it all on the record for the App Div to see. In 25 years I've seen some really bad judges in Brooklyn, but this one is by far the worst.

Not only should Mr. Solomon be off the bench, but he should be brought to trial for defaming the seat by his behavior, causing the courts to spend extra monies on appeals, hurting the cause of some cases and just being an unacceptable public servant.

Justice Solomon tries to resolve issues practically and quickly. He is a good student of the law. His clerk, Pepper, definitely helps to move cases. One can be confident that justice will be dispensed in his courtroom.
