Good Riddance to bad rubbish. If her husband didn't run the Democratic Party she would be working in a Walmart- horrible lying judge political hack and handmaid of defense bar
Thank God she is gone

Comments:
An embarrassment to the bench. Utterly biased toward the medical community and anti-plaintiff. Allows personal biases to cloud judicial judgment. Beloved by the Medical Malpractice defense bar.

Comments:
I was a recent juror in her courtroom. I can't speak to any of the negative comments left about her. I found her to be very respectful and pleasant, both to the jury and the attorneys. I have very limited experience and as a jury my "relationship" to her was certainly different than that of an attorney. But, I found her to be quite pleasant and I enjoyed my time in her courtroom. Finally, her staff were excellent. Bob (the clerk) and Mike (court officer) were fantastic.

Routinely throws out cases on summary judgment motions whether or not there is an issue of fact. Plays nice but is cut throat and dangerous. Very biased no wonder- her husband Jeff Feldman runs the Brooklyn democratic party, was indicted but got off. Does anyone have any case where Plaintiffs' have prevailed in Summary Judgment. Needs to leave the bench

In my personal opinion, from my personal observation and experience with her, she is rude, skirts the law and seems to conduct herself based on the race of the litigants and seems to favor banks.

This old woman should retire. She is a moody, sometimes nasty old hack who empowers her court personnel to treat attorneys like criminals. She plays favorites and generally hates men.

Comments:
Well, well, well. Gone from the Appellate Term is Marsha. This horrendous monster has been retired, but still serves as a Supreme Court Justice. Make no mistake, her clubhouse hack husband, Jeff Feldman, made her a judge through his powers as chief hack.

I don't know what Steinhardt is like in her trial part assignments, but I would beg to differ on the "respectful" evaluation. She has an assignment in the Appellate Term, and during oral argument, if she decides she doesn't like your appellate case or your client, she is not going to disguise it, even if you are a thousand times right. I don't call that even handed, and I certainly wouldn't call her a true pleasure to appear before. Smart? Better look elsewhere.

Even-handed, respectful of attorneys, respectful of jurors - a true pleasure to appear in front of and smart and well prepared - what more can you ask for except to be allowed to try your case - and she does that as well.
