If Lady Justice is blind then this Court takes it two steps further. It is deaf and dumb. Where is the Administrative Judge?

This is the worst judge before whom I have ever tried a case. I can't believe he went to law school or passed the bar. Almost every ruling was wrong. He tried not to let me make a record or challenge his rulings. He was late every day. He was one sided and favored the other side. I thought at first he was just stupid, but on reflection, no one could be that stupid. He was intentionally favoring the other side. Fortunately we had a mistrial because the case went on so long we lost the jury.

This judge is absolutely horrible. There is no respect for the litigants- he clearly chose a favorite and was incredibly disrespectful towards the other party. But the worst was his treatment of us jurors. He took the bench late every day, and would launch into long-winded stories and tales of irrelevant matters like the weather and TV shows. He would start even later some days, like 2pm, because of fear of weather, all the time telling us that it was out of respect for us. A case that could have been done in 4 days took weeks. ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR JURORS WHO GAVE UP THERE TIME TO BE THERE.He needs to step down.

Lazy and incompetent. Does not adhere to deciding motions within 60 days. Instead motions for summary judgment sit idly for over six months and even a year. Shameful! No reason for such neglect.

The judge spends a great deal of time talking about himself. While even handed, he knew little about caselaw and would make decisions off the cuff.

I cannot believe that Justice Antonio I. Brandveen actually went to law school based upon his poor understanding of basic law.

I actually looked him up in the attorney directory to confirm that that he did.

This judge should not be on the bench.

Reading these comments one expects a real disaster but it is unfounded in my experience. From one hearing on a motion I can say I was happily surprised. The judge is unconventional but relies heavily on common sense and street smarts instead of looking for a technical formula that denies the real justice intrinsic in the law. Any judge can spout some legalese and get rid of the case, but this judge looked into the case from many angles and brought reason and law to a sensible outcome. I don't know if the final disposition will be happy but this judge was engaged transparent and fair. That's a lot.

Didn't show favoritism to either side. Equally stupid. Absolute disgrace to the entire legal profession. Punch line to the joke: what do you call a lawyer with an IQ of 50? Your honor.

Spent the entire trial fiddling with his Ipad. Worked about 2 hours per day tops. Laughable that this guy wears robes.

Self righteous, arrogant, likes to hear himself talk about nothing anyone cares about. Even speaking to the jury they were looking at this judge like are you done yet!!? Move on!! He was late but was oh so worried about lunch breaks and getting out before 4:30. He should take a look at the judge in the Jodi Arias trial and maybe get some

You would think this judge got paid by the number of hours the jury sat waiting..... Loves to hear himself talk .... Understatement, pompous and arrogant, "but I digress" ....seriously intimidates lay witnesses, but allows "experts" to carry on at length... Honestly believe that he was playing games on his iPad at times during the trial! Definitely doubles the time we all needed to be there... What a waste of time and money !

This judge is a lazy pompous malingerer. He arrived to court late every day, and dragged out a 3-day trial into 3 weeks, tiring out the jury, to where they no longer paid attention and just wanted to go home without any mindful deliberations. He looooves to hear himself talk. Yet nothing of value comes out of his mouth. This judge is an embarassment to the bench and to humanity in general, as he has the power to ruin lives, which he has on countless occasions. Take the gavel away from this urchin.

Observed a trial and this Moron Mirandized a defendant because he heard jurors talking outside of court. Does not know the law and the PJI is He refused to bust a jury even though an offending juror admitted to the conversation. I was in total awe as a co-D, who was a missing witness and had the Plaintiff and defendant testify he was speeding get hit for ZERO percent because of his "charges" Really felt bad for the attorney who got hit but he just smiled and said "God does not like ugly!" Judge then tried to explain to the plaintiff not to take the settlement. Put the plaintiff's attorney at risk and that is when the defendant almost lost it. Suggest you see the Administrative Judge after any of his rulings. Harlem must really miss this guy. Defendant refused to sign the charge sheet and all heck broke loose. The more the judge attempted to intimidate the attorney, the more the attorney smiled. Seems the guy was a Vietnam Vet and retired cop so he was not going to back down.

He's sooooo dumb. He tells the dumbest anecdotes and stories to the jury. I've heard them over and over! Everyone has! "They had a sign at the Bronx Zoo, 'the most dangerous animal' I strained to see what it was inside. It turned out to be a mirror---man is most dangerous animal! gasp" He gets ghetto and quotes Tina Turner for the PJI to set aside sympathy "what love got ta do with it?" He was late and held my jury, but apologized and said "because there was a sale on silver dollar pancakes!" Is this nuts? He's the laughingstock of Nassau. Good Job committee to qualify judges. No, this isn't a joke, it's all true!

Pompous, disruptive, verbose, and stupid. This guy is the grand slam of terrible judging. Send him back to New York City and get a real judge to replace him. He screws defendants and then, in order to stop them from appealing his lousy decisions, he offers them a "get-out-of-jail-free card." Talks to hear himself talk, thinks he is a law professor constantly lecturing the attorneys who have the misfortune of appearing in front of him. This judge is completely out of his league when it comes to having a discussion about the law. Run from this guy if you can.
