The absolute worst judge I have ever encountered in NY Supreme. She is unintelligent, abusive and lacks even a basic understanding of the law and the facts of cases before her. It is truly sad there no mechanism to remove a judge like this from the bench. It makes me sick and ashamed to have to appear before such a tyrant and lunatic of a jurist. When she does appear, she seems to have no idea what is going on at any given moment in the case that is being conferenced before her. She is childish, rude, and wildly incompetent. She styles herself as a type of Judge Judy, although she is NOT entertaining, will never have a TV show nor will she live in a mansion. She is delusional and toxic. Expect only abuse and chaos, as justice, or even sanity, are not words in her vocabulary. I had wondered at times whether she was even sober or properly medicated during court appearances, as she is just THAT bad.

We were assigned to Judge Bannon for a malpractice trial last year. We looked up her ratings and they were appalling and thought that she couldn’t be this bad. She was every bit as terrible as she has been described. honestly, you would have to be in her courtroom to experience the depth of her lack of respect, knowledge and manner. it was shocking and was one of the worst experiences in our lives. We settled as we couldn’t stand being in her presence and had multiple grounds for a mistrial. She has no business being on any court bench. She is a travesty as a judge and should be removed. A sick person.

Justice Bannon is the worst judge I have appeared before in my 40plus years of trying cases. She is nasty to lawyers and parties, does not know the law and does not want to be educated. She is also lazy and expects the parties to do her work for her. If she does not like your client or your case, she will make it impossible for you to get your evidence in because she will sustain every objection, regardless of how ridiculous it is. She is a disgrace to the bench.

Uniquely unfit to serve as a justice of the supreme court and should have the wherewithal to step down. Pride, ego, and the power of the position are intoxicating to the narcissist who fears looking at the truth. Really, cannot handle the most basic discovery issues, and motions, and berates attorneys. Routinely looks to strike pleadings as a means of making cases go away.

Been trying to get a judgement turned over with an order to show cause i was served incorrectly therefore received a default judgement. Judge Banon will not even look at any paperwork proving that I was served illegally. Now I have a lien on my paycheck that is incorrect! NO ONE WILL LISTEN TO ME, HELP

this woman clearly hates her job and takes it out on the litigators. she is very unpleasant. she delegates all responsibility to her staff and sits in chambers for hours on end. horrible temperament. she should do herself and the bar a favor and leave the bench.

Judge Bannon displays an astounding disregard for the law and contempt for scholarship. She is vapid, condescending, and does not want to do the work - and, as a result, she has no idea what is happening. She doesn't know who the litigants are, what they are requesting, or how the law applies to resolve a dispute. She issues unclear, equivocal, ambiguous, and outright incorrect orders and expects litigants to "figure it out" at the threat of being sanctioned. She is well on her way toward being one of the most widely overturned justices on the bench and, to mitigate against future reprisals by her superiors, she seems to have committed herself to a strategy of refusing to issue written orders at all. After all, you can't be wrong if there's no proof? Right?

In short, Judge Bannon is a hack, a complete disgrace to the profession, and has been elevated to the bench on the tails of a political ticket that nobody bothered reading.

If you ever need a reason to lose all hope in the judicial system in NYS, look no further than Judge Bannon.

Atrocious is a huge understatement. She blatantly lied in a 8/9/17 decision she issued after she blatantly lied in a denied Order to Show Cause notice dated 8/4/17, flagrantly violated CPLR 2219's 60-day deadline for issuing a decision, refused to allow a litigant sufficient time to present oral arguments on 6/7/17, granted a NYC government agency an adjournment of a hearing in April of 2017 in spite of the fact that it violated the requirement of notifying the opposing side of that request prior to granting it, and wrongfully denied a litigant the ability to use a hybrid proceeding against that government agency.
