He is one of the few good judges left. He knows the law, follows the law and expects lawyers to do the same. I wish him well.

You are really going to fire a woman on maternity leave? Do you realize how much that undermines you credibility as a fair, evenhanded judge. YOU are part of the problem in this country.

Perhaps he should consider holding himself to the standards of timeliness, preparation, knowledge and the ability to resolve issues that he expects from others.

Just not a good judge. County attorneys of Nassau complain, insurance companies, plaintiffs -- it doesn't matter.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: NY4729
Rating:2.1
Comments:
This guy just botched a ground ball. He's the talk of the courthouse. He's got no credibility as a judge and doesn't know the most basic legal concepts. Defendants and plaintiffs alike comment on how unqualified and dumb he is. I know, he was found "well qualified" (there is only unqualified and well qualified and nothing in between), but the Nassau County Judicial Screening Committee is powerless and just a puppet group.

He is a very, very tough judge if you do not abide by his discovery orders, PC orders, comp orders, etc. He is fine to deal with if you actually do what you are supposed to do. If you don't, good luck! Treat him with the utmost respect and do your job and it will be fine.
