Judge Cannataro is now the administrative judge for civil court in NYC and so he does not have the luxury of time to be overly flexible in scheduling. However, he is always fair, even handed, and has perfect judicial temperament. It was an absolute pleasure to try a case before him. Judge Cannataro is a true credit to the bench.

I was privileged to appear before Judge Cannataro's first civil Court Jury trial, which was held in the Bronx. The case involved some unusual and complex evidentiary issues concerning handwriting comparisons and exemplars. The Judge was smart, diligent and took the time and effort to research the issues and make conclusions without undue delay. He administered justice fairly. The jury made the determinations of fact. Judge Cannataro is one of NY's finest jurists and can be relied upon by all parties to do what is expected of the Court. His confidential law secretary is also excellent and provides expert assistance, support and follow up to the court and the parties.

Speaking as an attorney who just lost a two day trial before Judge Cannataro, I can state without reservation that His Honor is one one the best judges before whom I have appeared. Even as he ruled against me, he provided me ample opportunity to argue my case. He was at all times extremely courteous to counsel and litigants.

While he was delivering a decision that stung, he expressed great respect for my client, and his kind words had a positive effect on my client's processing of the trial experience.

He needs to be cloned, or at least filmed so that other Judges can learn what judicial temperament really is.
