Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY11385
Rating:6.3
Comments:
Never seems to be that familiar with the issues raised in papers. Pushes parties to settle. Is respectful and treats counsel and litigants with respect but does not seem to want to do much heavy lifting.

Comments:
This judge was unimpressive in practice, and continues to be unimpressive as a judge. When he first took the bench, he was assigned to the matrimonial part, and was truly awful: arbitrary, egotistic, and arrogant. I later heard that he was going through a difficult divorce himself at the time. Wow. Although my experiences with this judge have been few, none were good.
