Smart and even-handed trial Judge. Takes written submissions on every issue and makes a real effort to get it right. Prepared lawyers will fare well in her courtroom. She is even-handed as between plaintiffs and defendants and does not try to force settlement. She lets you try your case.

Only had one case before her. She thoroughly reviewed the arguments made by all parties and reached the correct conclusion, and she did so promptly. What more could you ask for?

Judge Brigantti-Hughes is an excellent trial judge. She is even-tempered, exceedingly fair and has a wonderful judicial demeanor. I spent close to a month on trial before her and she was quite simply outstanding. She understood the law and the facts exceedingly well. She also kept her composure despite being challenged by a defense attorney looking for a mistrial.

It is unfortunate that Bronx residents and lawyers alike are subject to the ineptiude and personal prejudices of this eminently unqualified judge. It is a sad state of affairs when the judges don't know the standards they should apply and all lawyers are treated as a threat to the judge's authority rather than as colleagues trying to fairly resolve the cases before the court. Also, wouldn't it be a good idea to appoint judges who have actually tried a case in their life? Unfortunately there is nothing positive to say about this judge. Does not belong on the Bench.
