Civil Litigation - Private

During a damages only trial where 12 experts in total testified, I moved to strike the testimony of one of plaintiff's experts. Initially he granted the motion, then reversed course and allowed plaintiff to recall the witness two days later.
After a bad verdict against me, I obtained the entire trial transcript and filed a detailed motion to reduce the verdict. The verdict stood. That happens, but what I was disappointed in was the fact that I knew he never read our papers. That I felt was disrespectful.

very nice man but his intelligence is feigned. Sits on motions for SJ for months and in several cases I have had before him -for over a year!. While he does seem to listen I am not always sure he understands. He is a polite man but his part is ridiculously slow

Smart, fair, and generally makes the right ruling. Extremely liberal in granting discovery requests. General disorder in the part, especially on motion/calendar days.
