Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY13413
Rating:2.3
Comments:
The rudest judge ever. Seems to favor male attorneys over female attorneys. Interrupts and belittles attorneys in front of a jury (particularly women). In my case, in discussion after the close of trial, a juror remarked about the judge's behavior. Interrupts witness examinations without any reason. Forgets his prior rulings. He should not be on the bench.

Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:2.1
Comments:
This Judge is one of the most disrespectful, ineffective and ill mannered individuals ever to take the bench. His attitude problems and self-importance have infected his chambers, particularly his Chief Clerk, who is in the habit of telling people they "don't know what their doing" and making other rude comments when, in fact, they often know more than she does and are certainly more polite.Dealing with this judge and chambers is nightmare in which judicial misbehavior more impacts outcome than does case merit. This is widely recognized by defense counsel and plaintiff's counsel alike. This Judge is a disgrace.

Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:1.1
Comments:
Probably the nastiest, caustic and abrasive Judges I have appeared before in 35 years practicing law.

Litigant

Comment #: NY9390
Rating:1.0
Comments:
His rude and sexist comments towards female attorneys was stunning. He has zero command of the law as it pertains to anything aside from criminal law and his need to be perceived as the most intelligent person in the room is overwhelming. He’s as arrogant as his mindset is antiquated. I hope he retires soon and makes way for a more deserving replacement.

Prejudges cases, shows favoritism to his friends, and has a poor grasp of the law. A disgrace to the bench.
