Went to this judge and waited for him all day. Begged for an Order Of Protection. He smirked and denied it. The next day, I had an attack from ex. He stalks and follows me and hired someone to drug me. This judge didn't care and didn't listen. I hope nothing happens to me but if it does, everyone will know he did nothing to protect me. Just because someone doesn't verbally say, "I am going to kill you" doesn't mean they aren't harassing you and stalking or harming in some way. Our laws are completely screwed up and people lie to hurt others and this judge could care less about listening to the facts. Shame on you! Since this, the news has been interested in my story and I intend on telling everyone that this judge smirked (my private investigator was a witness) and refused my safety. This is an extreme circumstance and his job is to look at the facts and live by the law. DISGUSTING that he didn't.

An "old school" Justice, polite to a fault, fair minded and a real professional who loves the law and lawyers. Comes into a case with an open and fair disposition and waits until all the facts are in to render a decision. Sorry to see this Justice retire.

Justice Cohalan is very fair. His law secretary is great, makes the courtroom run like a machine and the judge is always available for rulings. If you want a default because your adversary fails to appear you must have proof that your adversary was notified. Very courteous to attorneys and pro-se litigants. A forgiving judge not looking to hammer people. But, you better spell his name correctly.

What would you say about a judge that bounces papers simply because you did not type his middle name? Getting a decision in his Court takes MONTHS. Very full of himself. Should have practiced law before he became a judge.

Has ZERO interest in getting things done. When there is a motion for summary judgment, and the other party receives notice, but continually refuses to appear with TOTAL disregard - GRANT THE MOTION!

A rare breed of old-fashioned judge, one who respects the attorneys before him, and loves the law. It is a true privilege to practice before him.
