Rating:10.0
Comments:
She is one of the hardest working judges in the system and takes her job seriously. She has an outstanding judicial temperament and treats all parties who appear before her respectfully. Her rulings are even-handed and fair.

Comments:
She's what every judge should be. As a practicing trial lawyer, I wish we had 100 of her.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY12179
Rating:4.4
Comments:
You can tell when a judge never practiced law. While she seems pleasant at first, her rulings go tit for tat. If she rules for the plaintiff on an issue, the next issue will go to the defendant. That is her way of being fair. This comes from a lack of practicing law herself. She has a dumb law secretary which does not help the situation.

Comments:
Unusually efficient, always pleasant, and has made sustained efforts to not only keep court running during the pandemic, but also has kept practitioners fully in the loop.

Comments:
Judge Catapano-Fox recently took over the trial calendar part in Civil Queens. Thus far she has demonstrated a very fair-minded approach to the cases on that calendar. She is firm when necessary but is reasonable when common sense is called for. She is an example of what a competent jurist should be and I wish all of the judges in Queens were more like her.

Comments:
One of a handful of great judges in the Queens System. She belongs in Supreme, at a minimum.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY10839
Rating:10.0
Comments:
Excellent courtroom demeanor. Respectful to attorneys and parties.
Brokered a fair settlement by really picking up key facts. She is the kind of judge who appears to enjoy her job and has the intellectual gravitas to not see counsel as people to "one up" in order to demonstrate her stuff.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY10556
Rating:9.0
Comments:
She is a hard working judge who wants to get it right. She does her research and will change her ruling if caselaw suggests she made a mistake. She has the right temperament for the bench and gives all sides opportunity to be heard. She is concerned about juror time and does not want to waste it. Best to deal with the judge and not her law clerk, who is not as smart as the judge..
