Does not either know the Law on admissibility of evidence or chooses to ignore it. Allowed defense counsel to introduce "evidence: that was never exchanged prior to trial. Gotta love trial by ambush.

Real ghetto. Threatening, Menacing, Loud, Abrasive. Says and does whatever comes into his mind. No matter what that may be. Works on 5 cases at once, switching from one to the other and getting none of them done.

When I am in Queens Civil Court, and have a few moments to kill I come into the Courtroom of Judge Muir to have a few laughs at his antics. He bangs his hand on the bench, tells people not to point, asks them if they are paying attention, asks them if they are feeling ok (which I doubt the way he deals with them), and generally acts like a certifiable individual who forgot to take his daily dose of lithium. When he spots me he says "Mr. S, what are YOU doing here?". I laugh and pander his foolishness. Seriously though,there are some real issues here.

I am a regular in this court. This guy is a psycho that no one likes. He thinks he is funny, but the truth is that he is scary as hell. I have spoken to the staff. The court officers do not want to work with him. Neither do the clerks. He has an experienced court attorney that he has sit there while he engages in sub rosa behavior with the litigants. It's a real zoo.

Tenant oriented and unfair. No one has to pay rent. He claims to know the law. What the others say is true. He should be removed. This is what Queens is all about.

Judge Muir gives you a clear ruling. Sadly, when he does it, he hasn't read your papers, listened to your arguments, or followed the law. Judge Muir knows it all, or so he thinks. He acts like Judge Mathis on the bench, only more so. Speaks in ghetto talk, laughs way too loud, yells at you to step back. It's a real circus watching him.

The bottom of the political barrel. Denied my motion by resorting to any minute technicality observable to avoid the substance. I'm talking about technicalities so minute, inconsequential or typographical that the Court appears to ignore CPLR 2001: "if a substantial right of a party is not prejudiced, the mistake, omission, defect or irregularity SHALL BE DISREGARDED, provided that any applicable fees shall be paid" (emphasis added). Cost my client money for no reason. Awful.

OH BOY!!! The lady before me cried because of what he did to her. He's rough as sandpaper. Yells constantly. A real bully! "I'm inclined to dismiss your case" he says to me. What?!!!!>>< are you kidding?

So I appeared in front of this new guy. He told me if I didn't settle, he was going to dismiss my case. He's very abrasive. Interrupts constantly. Controlling personality. Steer clear.

Rude, he interrupts you every time you try to say something, he's insulting, threatening, demanding, and nasty. Going in front of this NEW judge is a disaster. You just have to sit back and take his tirade of comments. He knows nothing. He prejudges everything. He is friendly to attorneys he knows. This is the new breed of jurist? Let's go back to the old breed.
