This judge is politically connected getting her position. She is mean spirited, bias and lacks the temperment and demeanor to be a judge.

This woman is nasty from the bench and does not know the law. Be very careful before you make a motion before her, because if you lose, no matter how valid your legal arguments and no matter how correct your facts, she will asses costs against you for bringing a frivolous motion. That's right; any motion you lose before her automatically is frivolous.
The Nassau Bar would not certify her to run for Supreme Court, so she got herself certified by the Suffolk Bar to run, and eventually be elected to, Nassau Supreme Court.

Unfortunately this judge has too many cases to handle and just wants to get of cases as fast as she can. She comes to court late, and has no time to listen. She makes the attorneys and parties wait around all from day from 9am and informs everyone that she wants to hear from the children's attorney as to his opinion. At 3:55pm the case is called, and she won't let anyone speak on the record and dismisses the case. The biggest victims are the children as this judge does not care.

This woman is a clown.....Recently...she sentenced me to 3 months in jail over a child support charge...I was out of work for 2 years....I finally get a job...go to the court voluntarily and she locked me up.....even though my ex requested that I not be locked up!!!! Her reasoning was that because I do construction I will be back in this position in no time????? She allows law guardians to run the show too.....My kids told the law guardian that their mom's boyfriend was saying inappropiate things to them...he chose to ignore that and told me if I continue trying to get custody he will reccomend I not have acces to my kids......

Soviet style Judge, must be removed off the bench before 2017. She does not listen and definitely disregards NY state law. Also disrespects other Judges
decision. very rude, narcissistic, no respect to our Judicial system, and Judges chambers. Im not a lawyer nor a Petitioner or a Respondent just some one who was abel to sit in on a case to see her demeanor, and behavior. My observation: Outrages and deploring act of power. I rate her with a big zero. Also observed, she is very vindictive.

Judge Eisman is a moderately skilled legal scholar, but all too often is influenced by allegations of a child's plight. In this mode, she renders poor decisions that ignore both the evidence and the law. She affords law guardians far too much authority to make improper reports and recommendations and is easily influenced by a persuasive law guardian with an agenda. I compelled her to recuse herself after she foolishly commented about a pending case in a way that clearly signaled her bias. She relies on sua sponte decisions and even summary judgment as tools to expedite matters on which she has formed an opinion even when matters of fact are in dispute.

She has a very high opinion of herself. As long as you indulge her in this, you should be ok. It really doesn't matter what your position is or what legitimate matters you bring forth. Pay her a compliment and you should do well. Punctuality is not her strong suit but don't be late! She is not as forgiving. Best interests of the child? Is that even applicable in her court room? She is more concerned with keeping her calendar convenient than she is concerned with real issues that come before her court. There really needs to be a more formal review process for these judges. She doesn't apply the law. She applies her logic, which isn't based in rationale or reality. If I had a choice, I would not elect to go before her again; HOWEVER, I do have a choice in electing a more competent and conscientious judge to the bench.

She has very poor judgment and her erratic actions make no sense. She is often unprepared and contradicts herself. She doesn't have the best interests of the children in mind. She has let a pretty cut-and-dried case go on for seven years. It's absurd! I agree that if someone would evaluate her, she'd be removed. I hope voters do some research before they elect her for another ten years!

This judge is just not listening... ever. She is as dependable as a stopped clock. Judge Eisman does not listen to the lawyers, the litigants or even probation, she just does whatever she wants. She is a bitter, angry woman who rarely does the right thing even if it is her goal to do so. And this is from a lawyer who has won cases in front of her. If she sat on any other bench where her actions could be reported on, she wouldn't still be a judge.
