Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: NY219
Rating:6.6
Comments:
Justice Eng is an nice enough man off the bench, which makes it all the more confusing as to why he is such a miserable person on the bench. It is one thing to be conservative, it is quite another to be demanding, rude and dictatorial. Judge Eng thinks that a trial is a giant steamroller with himself as the driver. He will run over anybody or anything that gets in the way of his making standards and goals. He also is completely unconcerned with the rights of the defendant. He is about getting to what he thinks is the right answer (usually guilty) and not a thing about doing it according to the law. It's too bad, too, because he is smart, he just does not understand that justice is the goal and the standard. Everything else is just form over substance.
