Like too many Housing Court judges, appears too apprehensive about what the landlord's bar will say about him or do about his reappointment to follow the law. Clearly overwhelmed by the calendar, as is his court attorney. Be prepared to have truthful and reasonable arguments given an apathetic shrug of the shoulders if your adversary is a skilled prevaricator like most landlords' attorneys are.

This judge performed in court as of he has no sense. He is ignorant and extremely disrespectful. He is definitely pro landlord. His ignorant court attorney or assistant is as ridiculous and rude as he is all in ONE. THEY BOTH ARE BIAS AND NEED TO BE REMOVED ASAP.

This Judge's court attorney is openly rude & hostile to pro se litigants. He actually stated that it didn't matter if a landlord lied on the court papers with regard to the stabilization of the apartment after the tenant was forced to vacate via a hold over case. Which by the way violates the rent stabilization codes. Then the Judge refused to hear testimony as she wasn't an attorney and didn't know procedure. This is supposed to be the people's court to take housing issues, with this lack of regard is it any wonder WHY we are losing affordable housing stock? Some of the evidence refused include a lease with a fraudulent misrepresentation of the legal status , Leases forged by the landlord that he submitted to TPU as well as HPD to get the 421a tax abatement that as sick as it is cover the exact time the landlord was demanding his apartment back via the holdover. This building is receiving the 421A abatement, he was in year 8 of 25. HPD is the one who didn't force him to comply with the laws and the citizen is the one to pay for it. JUST PATHETIC AND COUNTER TO THE PUBLIC WELFARE.

Very Pro landlord! If you have no running water, steam leak damaging ceiling and walls, pay rent, He will rule to evict you. Using clutter as an excuse, an elderly man removed most of the clutter and was still evicted from a rent stabilized apartment by Judge Thomas Fitzpatrick, effective, June 30, 2015.

This judge is more concerned about his ego than he is about resolving cases. His job, in the the housing court resolution part, is to try to resolve cases. He holds conferences and if an attorney speaks while he is speaking, he considers that an insult and punishes the clients. He is too tenant friendly and refuses to grant U&O while a case is pending eventhough the law clearly requires it. He is the worst!
