Justice Aarons displays a keen understanding of the law, and I have always felt, win or lose, that she was fair in her rulings. She is not only bright and studious, but also cares about all litigants having their day in Court, and the opportunity to seek justice.

She's a hardworking judge who works with both sides to reach a fair result. A credit to the bench.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY1553
Rating:1.8
Comments:
From the comments below she should stay a criminal court judge. The sole concern of this judge is OCA. If your witness is not present at 9:30 a default is noted -- even though your case may not be called for trial until 11:30am! Judge refuses to allow public in the courtroom to observe other trials that may be going on. Witness not allowed to watch cases that they are not appearing on. All rules of court and CPLR go out the window before this judge. I am ashamed to see the state of this current Bronx Judiciary, including this judge.

It is a pleasure to appear in Judge Aarons part. She is a great compliment to the bench. Judge Aarons is hard working and gives litigants a fair trial. She knows the law so she is evenhanded with her rulings. She gets involved in settlement negotiations when the parties need her to.

Comments:
She can be a tad short with unprepared attorneys. She does not suffer fools gladly.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY290
Rating:4.1
Comments:
While Judge Aarons tries to be thorough in hearing all matters and relevant case law, she tends to harp on minute insignificant details and and wastes time on already established principles of law. Unfortunately, this results in illogical decisions.
