I have sat in his courtroom supporting a family member on 3 occasions in the past month (Dec 2012/Jan 2013). He arrived late each time (10 minutes to 15 minutes past nine a.m.). He is gruff and/or ignores anyone who makes the mistake of uttering good morning. He constantly asks questions which he obviously does not expect an answer to. He talks down to both the Public Defenders and the ADA. He seems to relish making everyone standing in front of him squirm. I think, due in part to his nastiness, that man has outlived his usefulness as a judge and should probably be retired from the bench. I would think the court would find him an embarrassment that is only going to get worse.

Had will contest involving my aunt, Mary L. Scianni. My cousins, Peggy Cassidy, Betty Wilson, and Mary Helen Olmstead were defendants.
This judge did everything he could to obstruct an examination of the will. He initially asked me to post a court bond to protect the defendants, when he knew such bond was not applicable, and he failed to obtain any preliminary information about the case. Failed to protect evidence. When opposing attorney was not cooperating with mine in an examination of witnesses, financial and medical information, made no effort to supervise these and insure these were properly conducted. Made ruling in favor of defendant not based in evidence, and not informing my attorney. The appeals court upheld him improperly, in a ruling not based on the issues of the case. James M.
