I have seen Polly Hoye in action three times. I personally feel she is extremely intelligent and wise. One of the cases, however, was for a sex offender where she showed no tolerance. When the attorney for the defendant protested that she did not read the over 100 character letters submitted on behalf of the defendant she instructed everyone to sit down, she then fanned the letters like you would through a flip book for about 15 seconds, then said "Let the record show that I perused . . . " then sentenced him the max.
