Just because one loses their case or doesn’t get what they think an impartial judge should do does not mean that the judge is bad. It just means that your case was not favorable to your position. When you start attacking the best of the best as far as judges are concerned, you’ve got a real problem. Judge Dane is the best of the best. There is no better.

The comments could not be more accurate. I have been in his court room for 8 years and have been told by his trusted AFCs that all decisions are his chambers chatting away about life events instead of in court room. All decisions made and signed by him have no meaning and worth since he won't enforce. Is there any attorney willing to take him to court in class action suit?

My unfortunate encounters with Judge Dane in Nassau County's judicial system have been deeply disheartening and disillusioning. It is with a heavy heart that I must express my profound disappointment in his handling of cases and his conduct on the bench.
Judge Dane's judicial temperament is characterized by an alarming degree of indecision and an unwillingness to fulfill his primary duty as a judge: making timely and judicious decisions. My legal matters, which should have seen resolution within months, instead languished for an agonizingly protracted period due to his reticence in rendering verdicts or issuing rulings.
For those who find themselves in the unenviable position of being subject to Judge Dane's jurisdiction, I earnestly advise a proactive and diligent approach, particularly in the filing of motions. Failing to do so may lead to protracted legal proceedings and mounting legal fees, all while your case languishes under his purview.
It is deeply regrettable that Judge Dane, in his current capacity, serves as a poignant illustration of the systemic issues of [Redacted]that persist within Nassau County, Long Island, and the broader legal landscape of New York. In the interest of justice and the sanctity of our legal system, it is my fervent hope that a more qualified and impartial individual assumes the bench, ensuring a fair and equitable dispensation of justice for all.

Accurate description. Very nice man but lazy. Did not want to deal with the case at hand. Clearly didn’t read the facts and decides to end a case because a co worker was upset. These are some of the things wrong with todays judicial system. Trials take time. If you don’t want to sit there and take the time and hear the facts then you shouldn’t be in this line of work. Very unethical.

The two negative comments below must have been written by those who lost their cases because both comments are pure BS and nonsense. Obviously, one side has to lose. That doesn’t make the judge who ruled against you a bad judge. It just makes you angry. So stop bashing the man just because your angry you lost.

Justice Dane is a brilliant, competent, hardworking judge. I have appeared before him many many times. Sometimes I’ve won. Sometimes I lost. When I lost, it didn’t make Justice Dane a bad judge. He always carefully weighed the facts snd worked very hard to make the right decision.

Justice Dane is one of the best and finest judges New York has to offer snd anyone who bashed him just because they lost their case should be ashamed of themselves.

Lazy & incompetent. Iv'e never seen a judge more averse to actually making a judgement. If you happen to be lucky enough to get a ruling, you might as well use it as kindling as he will in no way uphold his orders. Utterly worthless & basically embodies all that is wrong with the system. Not quite sure what landed him in this profession beyond maybe being politically well connected but its not a good fit.

Completely incompetent. No decisions are ever made in his court room. No recollection of what has transpired on prior court dates and he let's his incompetent law clerk make all his decisions without having any knowledge of the facts and issues before him.

They should clone this guy. What a magnificent jurist! Great temperment, brilliant, vast knowledge of the law, and always professional. He is everything a citizenry could possibly want out of a judge. Listens to all sides, cares, very hands on and always fair. A pleasure to appear before.
