She appears to think that every court case where people are struggling and might lose everything is an episode of a show on court TV.

She actually evicted me and my wife and kids for the Christmas/new years holidays. Cold hearted isn't even the best word to describe that and like other comments on here i had the same exact experience in trial with her. I had good evidence to prove my case which she did not accept, and also the landlord lied several times and she didn't even raise a brow. She clearly made her judgment solely bias and prejudice without any consideration. Reading some comments on here I'm sure she probably didn't record the case as well. [Redacted by Ed.]

Disrespectful in the court room yelling unreasonably. Did not wear her robe. Was very unprofessional. Down-right mean is right. Did not give an ear to any information and did not have an ounce of
humanity. Seemed disinterested. Should be removed.

Comments:
Although I think the courts - Housing, Civil, Supreme, etc. need more Asian representation, this judge must be removed due to abusiveness and bias. Currently, Judge Lau is under Federal investigation. She should have been removed much earlier instead of coming to this point and having tax payer money spent on cleaning up her mess.

Comments:
She is an embarrassment to justice. She should not be a judge. Her demeanor is so overwhelmingly and aggressively anti-tenant that I don't see how any tenant (especially pro se ones) can expect a fair hearing. The only sane response to being in her courtroom is to assume that the system is absurd and ignore her rulings. My case had a strong legal argument, but she didn't seem aware of the legal issues and instead made her ruling on "facts" that she created herself.

Her behavior is appalling. She is very unprofessional, nasty and disrespectful. She's a disgrace to her profession. How she got (and retains) her job is beyond comprehension. I pointed out lies perpetrated by my ex-attorney, and told Judge Lau that I had the paperwork to prove them. She said she didn't want to see it. I would think that as a judge she'd be interested in someone lying. I guess not. When I recently asked for the recording of that hearing, it turned out there wasn't any. I guess she didn't think it was important enough to turn on the recorder! I just read that she was being investigated for her involvement in racketeering as well.

Comments:
Nasty, mean spirited, erratic behavior, favors the landlords over tenants. Being in her court room and being subjected to her whims is one of the worst experiences of my life.

Comments:
She appears to pore-judge litigants. Her attitude from the bench is aggressive, insulting, argumentative, and just down-right mean. Her tone of voice is disrespectful, and she seems to just roll over the rights of the pro se litigant, giving them no explanation of their rights or the procedures, and forces them to waive procedural and substantive rights.

Comments:
An absolutely bizarre demeanor. She's been known to do puppet shows on the bench to illustrate her points. Her odd sense of humor is especially out of place on a bench that see's a lot of pro se litigants who have not a clue what to make of her. But, at the end of the day, she's among the smarter Housing Court judges and will pay attention to a well-made legal argument.
