I find him to be even handed, well educated, insightful, and well versed in interactions with the police and residents of city housing. I feel if I have known him for 40 years, as if I have known his family and friends, as if his decisions are those of a respected jurist, bound for higher office.

horrible. he was inconsistent. he was inefficient. he was unpleasant and obnoxious to jurors. he confronted them unpleasantly during jury selection, not remembering correctly things they had said. he made what seemed like a borderline anti-semetic remark, suggesting to a juror, after being shocked, it seemed, that a jewish holiday was coming up, and after a longish conference with attorneys, that if the juror "chose" to celebrate a jewish the court wouldn't stand in the way while it was already on the court calendar not to have court on christian holidays.

Unfortunately, I cant find anything good to say about him. While I don't think he is an inherently bad person, he is a terrible judge. Extremely slow and unable to make decisions. It took me three days just to pick a jury in front of him. [Redacted by Ed.] A horrible place to be sent for trial. Get out of it if you can - he's also terrible on sentencing.

Terrible judge. I recently appeared before him for the first time and he inserted himself into a complex matter without knowing much about the case and was very difficult and combative. Every attorney I have spoken with since who has appeared before him has nothing good to say about him. Beware and stay away if you can.

This Judge has a seriuos case of "black robe disease". Discourteous and obnoxious.
The previous commentator states..."If you are new to him or have raised his ire, he will punish you. Once you've 'earned' your way through a few battles with him, it's better."
What a joke that any attorney should be subjected to such treatment.
Additionally, he has always been employed by the public sector and doesn't understand private practice. He is a disgrace and should be removed from the bench.
