Comments:
Although she made rulings that hurt my client's case during a felony jury trial, she was never one-sided or irrational or unfair. Also, she truly seemed unbiased in her demeanor as though she had no dog in the race. Although that might seem like it should be a given, it often is not with many judges during criminal trials.

Also, she was very efficient with pretrial matters and motions even though she would listen to both sides before ruling (no cutting off the defense before hearing the issues). And she actually started on time every day! -- which is less common in Supreme Court where many judges start testimony at 11:00-11:30, break for lunch at 12:45-1:00, and take testimony again from 2:00-3:30 or 4:00. I enjoyed having a trial take the correct amount of time instead of having it dragged across two weeks (or more) as it can with many judges.

This judge is outstanding. She is wise, perceptive and very effective. She treats defendants and lawyers with courtesy and respect, but she does not allow anyone to pull the wool over her eyes. She handles part 92 brilliantly.

Quick decision-maker on the bench. Even-handed. Willing to give jail time but not harsh, not punitive. The writer has no problems appearing before her. Can imagine a jury trial before her would go well for all.
