I have tried close to one hundred cases of a complex nature, and I have never before dealt with such an awful judge. I spent a month on trial with Judge Williams. She is nasty, arrogant, has absolutely no grasp of the law and treats lawyers with a complete lack of respect. She starts her trial day based on when she feels like showing up, irrespective of whether there are witnesses waiting -- not to mention the scheduled start time! I can state that my trial with her was the worst experience that I have ever had with a judge. Ultimately, I filed a complaint about her. An absolute disgrace to the bench.

I am a seasoned trial attorney with over 20 years of experience and over 30 trial verdicts. I had a trial before this judge and was appalled at her total lack of respect for the attorneys on both sides, she was nasty, abusive, condescending, lazy, ignorant and indifferent of the law applicable to the case. I had never seen anything like it and am amazed that she continues to be a judge. She has horrible judicial temperament and makes everyone before her miserable. She is awful and should be removed from the bench.

Comments:
Awful. Once of the worst. Nasty and rude. On one case, she did not understand the relevant law. Her rulings were often ludicrous. She kept the jurors, attorneys and witnesses waiting around for countless hours until she decided to stroll in late in the morning.

When my adversary and I settled the case, she would not allow us to settle it. Bizarrely, she made us keep putting up witnesses after we had reached a settlement. We later figured out that she was trying to get another day out of the case so as to avoid getting a new case. She called my adversary insulting names during the proceedings and, when we were finally permitted to put our settlement on the records, she told the jury that we had reached an "outrageous" settlement. Had this case not settled, my adversary and I were both convinced either one of us would get a new trial on appeal. Very unprofessional and generally unpleasant.

An ill-tempered, nasty, abusive individual with emotional and psychologic infirmities on constant display in the courtroom. During my four weeks in the jury trial in which I was involved, she made the most horrendous impression upon all who entered her courtroom. I cannot believe she is allowed to interact with the public, let alone serve the cause of justice.

This judge is everything a judge should not be: rude, unprofessional, impatient, unfamiliar with the rules, disinterested in cases assigned to her, arbitrary, and, quite frankly, hateful. Someone needs to wake up and assign her to small claims where she can do the least harm -- or better yet, get her off the bench entirely.

Comments:
This judge is proof positive of why appointed judges are not a good alternative to elected. She hates what she does, and thinks the "supreme" in Acting Supreme refers to the U.S. Supreme Court. She is 100% pro defendant. A big stickler for "the rules" but of course since she's addicted to tobacco, that little "rule" prohibiting smoking in public places apparently in her mind doesn't apply to her space - I thought I would gag during our pretrial conference in her chambers. She never met a plaintiff's case she didn't want to torpedo!

Short-tempered and prone to making insulting comments to attorneys.
