Judge punch forced be to choose between custody of my daughter, or my keeping 100% legal career. He banned me from doing the job that allows me to provide for my family, just because he didn’t morally agree with it. He has no respect for the constitution or the free market. Terrible human being that has destroyed countless innocent families. [Redacted by Ed.]
This man needs to reread the US constitution 10x over.

As a former law clerk of his, and a practicing lawyer for 15 years, he is the most incompetent judge I've ever known. He is arrogant ans severely opinionated. He honestly doesn't seem ro care about the law and the constitution. I'd give him a 0 if possible.

Mr punch never gave opportunity to my daughter to proof her case. She was running away from abusive boyfriend. He is going to prison now. He has a list from here to china of any criminal issues. Punch gave my grandson to his mother. Is unconstitutional taking son away from the mother when she has never done nothing and is a hard worker in Florida. Never listened to my daughter. DCF never checked where son is staying. Hoarding family.They can't support my grandson at all. He is in a bad environment.They coach my grandson.

No court should allow a Judge to do both criminal proceedings and Family Court proceedings. Obviously the later involves very delicate issues where children are involved. Of course, it's in my opinion that the problem is the Judge Punch enjoys being a Criminal Court Judge but cannot differentiate the difference of that and Family Court however, I may be wrong and he may be incompetent in both realms. In my case, the judge was from the start biased and forced me to make a decision that I did not want to make by intimidating me knowing that I was distressed by my situation. I am having trouble living with these decisions I made under these conditions-it is bad enough I don't believe in "our" system, but now, even more so. I am not sure that I can go on without doing anything about this and if anyone has any ideas of what we can do in the CONFINES OF THE LAW-(I shouldn't have to say that but don't want to be misunderstood) to please contact me. I'm thinking of starting with Senator C. Schumer? But am not sure what exactly to do.. This Judge is a disgrace and is unfit to preside over Family Court Matters. Also, his pet Law Guardian, Charles Plovanich is no better. This guy is not only living in the 1950's, but he's just as incompetent as he DOES NOT DO HIS JOB-yet gives the court his opinion-but how do you give an opinion if you do not do your research? The guy is 90 years old and scares my child because my son thinks his lower jaw is going to fall off he's so old.. This whole court in Orleans County is a joke! Between my ex who is nothing but Liar- I swear on a stack of Bibles and my love for my God that I was doing this with an open heart, an honest heart but-it didn't matter. I was better off fighting dirty but I didn't want to do that especially with my children involved. These people don't care-it is evident they DO NOT CARE! This goes even further than the court, Child Protective Services of Orleans County-again, a joke! Let me just say it like this, if anything should happen to my children, I will sue everyone of these people starting with CPS and all the way up!! I am beside my self with the way things are handled out in Orleans County. All that's missing out there is dirt roads, horse and carriages and Andy Griffin. But this is no joke, I am outraged by these people and if it's the last thing I do, I will find a way to take these people down..legally of course. I'm not going to just not do anything. If there's dirt on Judge Punch, I'm finding it and taking him and all of his people down. You made the most important thing out of my every day life you pompous asshole, I will use the legal system to take you and your circus out..

I only recently became aware of this judge and only am familiar with one of his cases, but from that experience, he appears to be in defiance oth the ethical code mandates for NYS judges AND he has either an inferiority complex for which is is trying to shield or he is a rogue with control issues. He certainly doesn't seem to fit the job. Can't someone, anyone, run against this means? Poor Orleans County. Good luck.

He is horrible! He took my son from me & placed him with his very abusive father. Only because I had a case with him 7yrs before this! He is unfair, ridiculous & will get what he deserves! We need to stick together & get rid of this horrible human being!

Horrid. James P. Punch is a disgrace to the legal profession and to legal professionals. He is arrogant, unethical, a bully, inconsistent, abhorrent, inept, incompetent, biased, unjust, ignorant, unlearned, a guttersnipe, if you will. There is no question that he should be removed from the Bench and disbarred for his highly unethical conduct. He should be ashamed of himself, he is an utter disgrace.

THIS MAN IS DISTASTEFUL.I HAVE SAT IN THE COURTROOM DURING COURT PROCEDURES BEFORE MY TURN AND HE BLATANTLY MULLS ANYONE THAT ENTERS HIS COURT ROOM.INCLUDING LAWYERS.HE DISRESPECTS PARENTS WHO MAY HAVE TO APPEAR WITH THEIR CHILD DURING FAMILY COURT IF THE CHILD HAS HAD A DISCIPLINE ISSUE.I HAD SEEN HIM BULLY SOME OF HIS OWN COURTROOM STAFF.I HAVE ALSO SEEN HIM AS TO WHERE HE TALKS BUDDY, BUDDY TO OFFENDERS WHOM ARE INCARCERATED AND STANDING SHACKLED LIKE HE KNOWS THEM VERY WELL ESPECIALLY DRUG OFFENDERS.HE IS ULTRA BIAS.ITS HAS ALSO BEEN CONFIRMED THAT HE HAS HAD HIS OWN ISSUES WITH DWI,DRUGS,AND EXTRA MARITAL ISSUES WITH COURTROOM STAFF THAT MYSTERIOUSLY NO LONGER EXIST.15+YEARS ON THE BENCH AND THE NYSBAR KNOWS ABOUT ALL OF THIS AND LET HIM STAY ON

I worked for Punch for more than ten years. I am completely convinced he is suffering from antisocial personality disorder. The man is a bully who made my life hell as an employee and eventually led me to quit my job, but not after I at one point suffered a nervous breakdown and was on medical leave for three weeks. He gave me a performance evaluation of 'poor/unsatisfactory' which I appealed, and won, but his toxic and vicious treatment of me eventually came to the point where he stopped me from receiving a promotion in another court. Shortly after that happened, I quit because I did not want to have to go back on antidepressants. It's not just me - his personality is legendary. Other people know about him, but no one ever runs against him in the elections and so he is never replaced.

I observed Hon. James P Punch yelling at, mocking, and insulting both defendants and defense attorneys on multiple occasions. He is certainly not unbiased or fair. This judge is clearly unfit to be on the bench. He is running rogue without any oversight whatsoever. What makes this so terrifying is that Punch is the ONLY judge for Orleans County, presiding over Criminal, Family, Supreme and Surrogate courts. This is an outrage!
