She was rude and appeared biased against me and my claims, which I know are very valid. She should be removed from the bench -- immediately.

Best Housing Court Judge currently sitting in Queens....which is a pretty low bar....and she is better than that sounds.

Comments:
I felt that she was doing an excellent job at listening to me even though I am not a lawyer and didn't have one present either, my landlord's lawyer was extremely disrespectful to me prior to our hearing with the judge, I felt she was absolutely and evenly fair to both parties.

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: NY5484
Rating:7.0
Comments:
The Hon. Ressos was pleasant, even-tempered, and took the time to listen to both parties (represented by counsel) in a Landlord-Tenant matter where I was before her. Sadly, before going to trial, I was forced to move to withdraw as counsel because the client refused to pay me an agreed-upon retainer (signed many months ago). The Hon. Ressos granted me my motion and commented on the excellent job I had done in the matter thus far. I did see the judge say something angrily to an attorney, but under the circumstances, saw it as reasonable.
