Comments:
Judge Rosenbaum comes from a political pedigree and there were some that felt his election was due to that pedigree. Many lawyers feel that he was aware of that assumption and has worked extremely hard to show his independence and ability. When he first was on the bench he issued written decisions without considering oral argument. He has since changed that practice as he has matured as a jurist. He has developed into a great judge and is one that I would gladly appear before on any case. He digs in and understands the issues. He is practical does not let counsel get away with nonsense. Be warned, be prepared and you will be treated with respect and fairness.

He has sealed documents protecting other politicians and campaign contributors, prohibiting any transparency. Pulls too many favors in assignments and completely biased.

Pro big bank and other deep pockets. Not even-handed and plays to his favorites. Simply does not care if he gets reversed.

Excellent, excellent trial Judge. I wish there were more like him on the bench. In a long and complex trial he was always available, worked through the issues and never gave a hint of favoritism either in Chambers or before the Jury. One of those Judges who actually gets what its like to try cases. Was respectful and generally a pleasure to be around during trial, unlike far too many others. Only knock was a very bad ruling on scheduling that would probably have been reversible, but rulings happen. On the whole, excellent temperament, smart Judge. An excellent trial assignment.

This judge recently took over the commercial part. Recently he allowed attorneys to engage in protracted motion argument before him, then immediately handed them his written, typed Decision. Wow. He let them argue...why?

He is intelligent and capable. He is also possessed of a huge ego. How well he will do in the commercial part is still unknown.

Does not make sound decisions. Cites cases that are directly contrary to his ruling as support for his ruling.
