This comment is concerning Judge Melinda Crouch, and the comment by NC247.
I am wondering why or how you ended up in a criminal court with her over it? I assume they put her with the criminals-because she is one. This woman had been in juvenile and family court for years-creating problems and destroying families-I guess now she wants to punish the victims she created even more, because I am sure many of the children whose lives she has destroyed will end up in her criminal court.
This woman is an embarrassment -and immoral in her soul.

I see so many people bashing her on here. One person in particular that I know personally is upset because her boyfriend got it handed to him by this judge after he beat her. She is now angry because she was dumb enough to go back to him and thinks he will change. This judge did what she did to protect her. You can’t fault her for this. I have personally been thrown the book by this judge but it was a much needed wake up call. I was standing before her for drunk driving and it wasn’t the only time I had done it. It was just the only time I had been caught. I have since learned a huge lesson and I have been 6 months sober. Had I not had a judge teach me a lesson, who knows where I would be. Maybe she is a tough love kind of judge and for me, I appreciated that. I honestly would love to thank her someday.

I definitely have some things to say about Judge Crouch. She is one of the most judgmental judge I have ever came across. She truly believes no one changes. She humiliated, disrespected me and told me I was crazy, because I believed in giving second chances to those who take responsibility for there wrong doings and and take the steps to change. She is ruining innocent people’s life and it needs to stop! If I could put together a rally outside the courthouse of all those who have also been in the same situation with crouch, to get her out of that chair I would! She needs to be let go and never be able to judge people she does not know, and be a judge ever again.

Judge Melinda Crouch is a "Dog and Pony show!" All talk, for the record, and does the exact opposite! The best people in America come to seek justice in her court room and walk out humiliated, disrespected, and in some cases incarcerated, from her power push! She has 100% proven, (her statistics and my personal experience) to be a sexist against men, and shows no honor at all to the service men and women of this country. She has proven to believe spoken lies over historical facts and evidence. She must be removed from office! Or another great person will be ruined. One misjudged individual is one to many, a hundred is ignorance, a thousand is a problem to great to let go of. Stop her now! Power should not be used for personal gain or pleasure, she takes great pleasure in her power.

Melinda Crouch is now running for superior court judge. Guess she is not familiar with the Peter principle which says that the selection of a candidate for a position is based on the candidate's performance in their current role, rather than on abilities relevant to the intended role. Thus, employees only stop being promoted once they can no longer perform effectively, and "managers rise to the level of their incompetence." Melinda reached her level of incompetence long before she ever became a district court judge. Let's not perpetuate this travesty be giving her even more opportunities to display her inability to hold public office.

Horrible, evil woman who obviously can't take care of her own personal life which was and probably is in shambles. No one who files bankruptsy for over 20 million should be in a courtroom in charge of making decisions.She is not fit to reside over and make decisions for other families. I have witnessed pure unadulterated injustice in the courtroom by the Dis-honorable Melinda Crouch. As an employee I don't know how much more of the harassment to those that come before her that I am able to take. I see such despair in the eyes of mothers and fathers. She is ruthless and disrespectful. I can say nothing. So I must find another job and just hope she comes to her senses or does what is best for everyone and leaves the bench.

I am the individual whose case she was recused from in the comment from 9/5/15. Greg Rogers. She certainly showed her rear end at the voting polls. Her husband even came up to me and showed me a copy of some court documents from our case and told me that she was out passing them around to her church friends while talking publicly freely about my case to anyone and everyone.

Another interesting fact in my case, every order she signed was written "Greg is a perfectly fit parent" yet every single time she perverted me into being just a visitor to my son with 3rd party supervised visitation every other weekend, for 3 years of my sons life. 6 months of that I had to pay bridge builders, another scummy racket, thousands of dollars to see my son for 1 hour every other weekend. (As that was all I could afford between lawyers fees and the $1,000/mo in child support I was extorted by her friend Sandra Ray Criner)

Melinda Hayne Crouch of Wrightsville Beach should be forced to pay the victims from her court room thousands of dollars in restitution and be written a public apology while taking herself off the bench permanently. The damage she has done to my family cannot be undone.

After my case was recused, Robin Robinson heard the case, but that did virtually no good as Melinda's case worker sat in the back of the court room the whole time, which tells me that obviously Melinda heavily influenced Robinsons ruling. Especially since the mother testified on the stand that she smokes, drinks, does drugs, and leaves my son home alone with her friends no more than 5 minutes before Robinson made her final ruling, which was simply put unsupervised visits every other weekend. Big wooptie do. I strive for 50/50 with my son. I am a married father of 3 boys, a local business owner, a proud Rotarian, and most of all a loving father. I want my god given right to be in my son's life just as much as his mother.

Melinda Crouch has been forced to recuse herself in a case because of her unprofessional and unethical behavior last November at a polling station. In light of this behavior as well as the fact that many of her rulings are overturned on appeal, her fiscal irresponsibility and demonstrated personal bias against certain individuals who have the misfortune to appear before this dictatorial judge, the question is this: Why has she not been removed from the bench?

She allows hearsay, lies and innuendo as a substitute for the facts and evidence as long as it fits her predetermined rulings. Worst family court judge in the area. A known man hater who doesn't follow the law. Good dads lose their custody simply in order to justify higher child support. Look up how many of her cases are turned over in Appeals Court. She was originally appointed and then ran unopposed. Vote her out in 2014!

Not sure what NC1 is referring to, but Judge Melinda Hayne Crouch has been anything but good towards fathers. (Me, or the other 15 fathers' cases I sat in to watch.)

This judge needs to be thrown off the bench ASAP. After filing complaints with the judicial review board, it is clear that electing someone else is the only way to remove her. She is competing against Duke Lineberry this November, 2014.

This judge has set precedent that it is perfectly fine to call a mother that is a felon and goes around having one night stands with men and alienating the children, and she will defend her to the last breath, despite medical records showing abuse, and many other allegations showing abuse of the system to alienate a child.

Judge Melinda Hayne Crouch supports child alienation in New Hanover County, North Carolina -- plain and simple.

It is of great concern that this judge is reacting to the negative press that she unfairly discriminates against fathers by irrationally giving way too much leeway to fathers who are in contempt, and who do not honor multiple aspects of court orders.
