This fool thinks she is Judge Judy, with her shenanigans in court. She promotes herself as "tough on crime", but she often ignores a defendants rights. A case in point was my son. He was falsely accused of stalking my ex son-in-law, who started a campaign of harassment against him and my daughter. That ex son-in-law wanted to get out of paying child support and used false incidents to intimidate my daughter and her family, hoping that my daughter would drop her claim for child support.
My son's case came up at the end of the session. Judge Covington stated that she "had to pick her kid up" She was obviously in a hurry to end the court session for the day.
If a judge states that she wants to be "tough on criminals", it seems to be a ploy to get votes from law enforcement and conservatives. Judges are supposed to be fair and unbiased in the courtroom; this person is neither of those.
