Terrible judge; has no compassion; will not look at the facts and then only to sustain the prosecution; no humility; awful. Comment 642 must have been made by someone from another planet.

It's hard to give a rating on some of these categories because of the way this judge handles his docket. I traveled from Oklahoma City to his "docket call" for what should have been about a five minute hearing. He won't hear it, and instead he "specially" sets it for hearing about five months off! Good grief!

Comment 642 is a joke posted by "Judge God" himself, or one of his disciples.

You should see us (attorneys) negotiating with each other to get more time in front of him to present our motions. Not finished on time? Well he'll cut you off and you have to come back another date! Nothing is moved along "at a quick pace" when you have to repeatedly continue or pass your motion hearings!

His "punctuality" is for him to get OUT of the courtroom in time for lunch or golf. If you're a judge, you should be available to actually completely hear matters and make rulings!

"His rulings on pre-trial motions are accurate and help to avoid appeals"?? C'mon, that's the problem. You can't get your motion presented to ever get a ruling!

I can't tell you all the horror stories I have had just trying to get a temporary order in a divorce!!

This judge unfortunately just has an attitude of superiority and self-importance. That is NOT a good thing for a judge. He doesn't always show the proper respect for attorneys who practice in front of him, as though they are lesser beings. (he does cater to a particular attorney whose father was a judge).

He is so superior in his own mind, he has one docket per week, and if your case is not resolved in about ten minutes, you are out of luck. So much for justice in his court,

Judge Bland is an excellent judge...he moves cases along at a quick pace so that the docket is not crowded with old cases...his rulings on pre-trial motions are accurate and help to avoid appeals...he is very knowledgable on the law and will put forth any research needed to make a correct decision.

The best description I can give of this judge is that he is a political climber. He is very elitist. Sees himself as better than the attorneys he appear before him, and better than the general population for sure.

He is lazy. He has only one docket per week--two hours. Yes, that's right. His only docket is 2 hours per week. Almost impossible to get anything accomplished in his court.

I appeared at his chambers one day (after calling ahead and receiving "permission" to get an order signed. I showed up early, but he was still very annoyed that he couldn't get out the door any earlier to go play golf in a tournament with some other judges.

Such an A-Hole.

Great judge...if you can get your matter heard in his single, 2-hour docket he call every week. Yes, that's it. 2 hours per week.
