In 2018 I filed a small claims case against the people that scammed me out of 0ver 7,000. I had all paper work & pictures of the condo I renovated & they had nothing. I asked for a court reported she said "NO"! I asked for a bailiff to be present she said "NO"! It was just the Judge, myself & the defendant present after all other cases were heard which worried me. It took her 2 min & 17 seconds to dismiss my case without listening. Reason? Her exact words, "Ahhhh I don't wanna hear it" CASE DISMISSED! Then she left as the defendant couldn't even believe it but smirked at me & I got "F-ed" over because of this Judge!!!!!!!! She is unstable & even the Judicial Committee in OKC who I wrote about her didn't care in spite of the MANY complaints they received about her! She is mean, unfair & bitter & KNOWS no one can or WILL do anything about her!

She is moody. Moody as in, her mood can change from professional to arrogant obstinant dictator in a heartbeat. Predictable, she opens her courtroom with lots of accolades for herself and her staff, then she looks for opportunities to make an example of someone. She LOVES to instill fear into everyone in her courtroom. She abides by demands that she has arbitrarily put on the plaintiffs. Plaintiffs must present proof that they have sent certified letters to give notice. If you have an IQ over 80 you can surmise that those little green cards prove nothing.
She is a bitter bitter woman. She lives in a state of nearly boiled over rage. The only thing she finds comfort in is the absolute authority that she flaunts in her courtroom. The judges who appointed her, should be fired.

This woman is insane. As a pro-se defendant, I appeared in Otey's court room, today. I raised my hand to alert the judge that special accommodation would be needed for my husband who recently suffered a debilitating stroke (and was the reason he did not appear for a court date). She immediately chastised and humiliated me and the court room by waxing poetic about judge shows "on television" and how the process would work in HER courtroom. She then told my husband who said that he was stressed and asked if I could speak on his behalf that this wasn't a stressful situation and she wouldn't "bite him." I think she meant this literally. The hearing only went from bad to worse as she allowed a predatory bank to repossess a car from my husband and I under a Bankruptcy stay order (with no consequences) and allowed their automatic and arbitrary deductions from our bank accounts without our knowledge or consent. Later in the hearing, she asked my husband to disclose to her and a full courtroom private details about his rehabilitation after stroke. She asked him, "What is your rehabilitation plan for your stroke." I'm sorry - but when did this become not federally protected and sensitive information protected under HIPAA. More so, why is it the court's business when we were there to defend a default judgment? Long story short, she sided with the predatory bank and allowed them to break federal banking and bankruptcy laws. She is either unaware of the consumer protection laws or completely disregarded them. As we were leaving, she told the court room that she was prepared to make a decision against us. She left us with her final words: "You will find no relief in my court room." Truer, more prophetic words have never been spoken - and straight from the Horse's mouth. Avoid Otey at all costs. She is insane.

Judge "Judy" conducts herself in a very degrading and disrespectful manner. Judge Otey was observed conducting 2 hearings humiliating the litigants to the point both male and female began to cry. In the workplace this would result in a hostile environment and the responsible parties would be disciplined or dismissed. Additionally, during the hearing the judge showed more interest in one of the defendant's unrelated guests' academic status instead of addressing the facts of the proceedings. This wasted the time of the rest of us who were there for actual judicial resolution. The judge took an hour playing family court jester when the facts were very clear that the eviction filed should have been awarded. Judge Millie Otey is obviously under-trained as an adjudicator or is too old to fairly represent the constituents of the court. We came before small claims seeking resolution, not as an officer of the court, but as a tax-paying citizen entitled to a fair day in court. Judge Otey made it very clear she does not know how to conduct proceedings for these simple disputes. She is also extremely unqualified to efficiently resolve issues presented before her. Judge Otely prefers issues being forwarded to District Court or refiled which is a total waste of courtroom time and expensive. There needs to be action by some sort of authoritative agency to remove someone of this level of incompetence. It was also observed that Judge Otey, during the hearing, met with the plaintiff's attorney and excluded the defendant. The defendant felt this was unfair. Judge Otely needs to be removed and sanctioned.

I just appeared before this judge this morning. I have a very high opinion of her, and cannot see where the all the negative comments originate, other than from people who maybe did not get what they thought they deserved from a court hearing. All of the negative comments that I've read actually sound as if they were made by crazy people anyway. So, if you have to appear before her, be punctual, be polite, and be respectful. She'll do the same.

Hon. Millie Otey was confrontational when it came to presenting the case, tp the the point of belittling when and how the information and documentation was presented. During presentation there was little or no confirmation that the information presented was received and understood and upon ruling she presented no bases for her judgement.

This Judge gets very annoyed easily & tries to intimate the defendant. If you come without an attorney you are screwed. She treats you like a maggot for not having one, even if your attorney couldn't show up too bad for you. You automatically loose your case.

This Judge will always side with anyone that has made donations to her re elections! It doesn't matter if your right or wrong if you are an attorney that "donates" money you win everytime regardless! Better have an attorney that donates to her and you will automatically win your case!

After reading some of the comments I was very nervous wondering if me as a plaintiff trying to get some deadbeats evicted was going to be a hard thing to do. I must say she was pleasant, forceful and did not have bias one way or another. I'm glad I was able to gather my own opinion of her.

She is very biased against landlords, business owners and anybody she perceives as wealthy or successful. She expects professional conduct between litigants but is downright rude. The only ones who give her good ratings are her staff and defense attorneys. The only good thing I can say is that she does get her cases resolved on the same day.

I don't want to give too many details for fear she will know who I am and retaliate next time I go before her but I am a landlord with 30 years of experience. She does not like anybody that does not have an attorney. She has arranged for free attorneys for the defendants. Anyway, at times she is very demeaning such as talking very slowly as if she doesn't think I can process the information in real time. She throws out cases for the slightest of reasons or denies court costs. She rules one way in court but then after the case has been settled, the free attorney for the tenant asks her to change her decision back in her chambers and she does without even telling me. I could go on and on but you get the idea. Good luck getting justice in her courtroom.

Totally misrepresented and fabricated the mediation process. Was outright LIED to by the Court and told that IF a mediation was agreed and the responding party did NOT pay, the court would intervene on my behalf and I would NOT have to appear in court again. What a farce!

The court clerk cannot even look you in eye because she knows that the decision are not fair or right. She is heartless and very insensitive. She has a flim flam court room. Im sure she knows the law. I did not observe any real common sence in her decision. It would be nice to see anyone with her knowledge to use it in conjunction with just a little bit of real, down to earth common sence. These are the reasons some week minded people snap. I hope that I will never have to be in any court room, for any reason. She is why I have no faith in todays judicial system. Any decent comments about her at this site are from her co-workers. In my experience, this judge bases her decisions on how you are dressed, if you speak to her in whispers and cower, and how well she just likes you. I have presented photocopies of cashed checks, USPS certified mail records, pictures - and in each case, she (Judge Otey) just refused to even look at any evidence. I don't mean looked at things and determined them to be irrelevant, I mean, she just said she wasn't going to look at the evidence! I've appeared before her on several occasions (I own rental property) and while waiting for my case, I've witnessed her making defendants explain why they are on social security, don't have jobs, give their medical conditions...unbelievable! I've witnessed when she has not even bothered putting on her robe, sitting at her bench, or swearing in people prior to testimony. I've been told by those that work at the courthouse that her own court personnel feel she's a runaway train, but apparently she retains her position there because she's able to rush thru 100 cases a day. It's no secret how that is possible: discount the law and anyone who feels they have a right to jurisprudence. I think it's time for her to be ousted.

I am appalled by this judge's actions in the courtroom. I have never seen a more incompetent person allowed to have any power over a courtroom. Not only is she very disrespectful to the people who come before her, she refuses to look at evidence in cases to make a biased ruling. I don't know what has to be done to get her removed, but I would empty my savings to see it done!

She always shows up mad at the world like she isn't happy to be there. She is truly unhappy. I paid the court a fee to recover money and she awarded me the amount but denied me court costs. Every time I have been in her court room, she has always been so angry. I sued an attorney for stealing and she was the one to hear it. She ruled in his favor. I was at the court house when he was my attorney and they were walking arm in arm together. She heard a case of someone she was sleeping with. She has no ethics.

She is one of the shining stars of the courthouse. She is also without a doubt the most overworked judge, and yet she doesn't let this diminish the quality of her work. She is fair and even-handed in her judgments, and knows the law and its applications better than most people in the legal community, be they judge or attorney. And on top of that she is a wonder to work for. She deserves more respect and gratitude than she receives.
