Horrible. A friend of mine filed for a divorce over a year ago and nothing has been done about the husband's abuse even though it went on for years prior. The last straw was when he got life insurance on her and suspicious things started happening. He cheated on her during the whole marriage and in fact was still married when he moved his mobile home on her land. He forged her name on legal documents and try to take over her land. Eventually, he just abandoned her on the property for a year (this is when she filed for divorce) and had the mortgage sent to his new address and didn't even make the payments. The guy is nothing but a con artist and the judge couldn't even see through him one bit. The judge didn't look at ANY of the evidence provided, and still trusted the man enough to move back and he ended up burning the home and all her stuff and grandchildren's stuff inside. He is still a free man to this day and probably got out of paying the mortgage up to date that he was court ordered to pay! If my friend was not messed up from the abuse, she may have been able to open the judge's eyes to what was going on.

I know someone that was been before this judge on Sept. 30, Nov. 18, Jan 13 and now is set for March 10. While waiting "further negociations" this guy has choked my daughter to the point of bruising her neck and making her hoarse, busted out her windshild of her vehicle and stalked her, and stood outside her apartment yelling at her. I do not understand why they don't put this drug dealer behind bars instead of negociating for months. Just my thoughts. Someone is not doing their job for this guy to still be walking the streets.

I witnessed Judge Balkman handle Judge Bonner's show cause hearings on deprived cases. It was the first time he's ever handled show cause hearings and I was thoroughly impressed. I listened and watched as he denied the State's request to take a 7 day baby into custody after the judge conducted his own inquiry of the DHS worker and after he solicited argument from the attorney appointed for the infant. Judge Balkman could have easily just rubber stamped the State's request, but instead he listened and made a reasoned sound decision. He was tough, but courteous to the attorneys and to the DHS worker.

He will not read your brief, and will not follow the law, but instead follows a right-wing radical illusion. He should not be on the bench.
