Comments:
Judge Taylor's rulings are at the very least questionable. Four years ago judge taylor sent out (out of his chambers) a ruling on a custody trial that goes against all ethical and moral demeanor taking a young child away from a loving mother who had took care of child since birth and sent said child to live with a father who had 9 reports to DHS of physical and sexual abuse. reports were filed by childs teachers aunts grandmothers and one anonymous reporter.
The trial was delayed and delayed for two years.
Coincidentally until after Judge Taylors election in November.

The mothers and her attorney failed to make monetary contributions to Judge Taylor reelection campaign.
The fathers lawyer contributed generously.
The mother also fired another attorney during all the hearing and procedures that had contributed generously to Judge Taylor's campaign.
The trial occurred after the election.
Most evidence of the fathers behavior was disallowed.
THE FATHER WAS GIVEN FULL UNRESTRICTED CUSTODY AND THE MOTHER WAS WARNED TO NOT TAKE THE MATTER ANY FURTHER OR THERE WOULD BE RECOURSE.

Comments:
I my opinion Judge Taylor rules from his chambers. He doesn't give any decisions from the bench. He's known for secret meetings in his chambers with one party while the other party is not present nor do they have legal representation. His decisions are made before he gets to court and doesn't review all of the evidence even though he states in his rulings that he has done so.

Judge Taylor knows how to see through the drama and bs in a case.

Can be quick to cut to the chase but always feel like arguments are at least heard.

Comments:
Shawn Taylor is only concerned with maintaining the political prowess of his uncle Stratton Taylor, who is ultimately responsible for Shawn's initial appointment as judge. He hates to decide any matter that might be bad for the political career and justice suffers for it.

This is a very political judge. His main concern is what voters will think rather than justice and equity.

Comments:
Taylor likes to push people to reach an agreement by indicating this is what I would likely do, now go talk to your clients. He will claim he was misinterpreted if you call him on this. Taylor likes to talk about how he runs his court and what his procedures are. One of his procedures is he will not give a trial date if one lawyer says they have not completed discovery even if it is their fault and they are clearly stalling. I suspected and confirmed with a local lawyer that there is a pecking order although he is not as obvious about this as some judges.
