Judge Walker is...well, scary. The first few times I went before him, he chewed me out like crazy. I thought I was an incompetent nincompoop, but then he started chewing out other people as well. I learned that, when it's your turn for a behind-chewing, it's just your turn -- everybody gets one. Take it with a grain of salt -- you will never be prepared enough for him.

I had been warned about Judge Walker by numerous attorneys in my office. I was terrified before my first appearance in his court. He isn't "mean." He is just very traditional about the practice of law. (Remember when it was formal? Remember when you addressed and approached the bench with respect? Remember those days?) He conducts court in a dignified and formal manner. He doesn't let you forget (as you shouldn't) that he is the judge and you are an attorney.

Judge Walker is one tough customer. He is mean, hateful, and disrespectful most of the time. He is, however, an equal opportunity grouch! He spreads his misery to everyone, so don't feel like he's picking on you personally!
