Comments:
Judge Herndon is very unfair when it comes to custody hearings! I don't know if he doesn't like women or if he just can't hear or understand all of the details of a case, but he is the most unfair person! Says he wants to do what's in the best interest of the child but doesn't seem to act on that!

If there was a below negative score, I would give it. Judge Herndon was asked to give a fair trial but it was anything but fair. I refer to him as Judge Herndon out of respect, but he does not deserve respect. I was formerly a police officer, so I have seen the inside politics of the court, but what Judge Herndon did in this custody hearing was unbelievable. When my husband and I asked our lawyer if it was normal for the judge to be able to pick and choose what he should rule on and what he shouldn't, she told us that she had never in her time seen such unfairness. Apparently, and I have been reading a lot into this, this is a normal occurrence in Grady County with Judge Herndon. I understand that he is the only family judge for that county. If you keep getting complaints, please hold him accountable. People can't afford to just throw $15,000 in the trash. I guess, in short, that the rating for overall performance for Judge Herndon is below negative. If I lived in that county, my outcome would have been different. I wish that the child's lawyer had been the judge. Judge Herndon even ruled against his recommendations! Anyway, a very negative review.
