I have nothing but good things to say about Judge Gibson. I have found him to be fair and honest. I have only appeared before him a few times on civil matters in which my husband and I had legal dealings with another fellow Nowatian. It's always a good thing when he rules in your favor and I hope I never have to stand before him if I've misbehaved! He ran against Judge Sonnenberg and won, I pray he stays in office!

Carl G. Gibson is a disgrace to the US legal system. Not only has he demonstrated abuse of power, but he has shown indifference to human safety and the law itself.

I work in construction and buildings are legally required to be safe use. It is illegal to operate a facility in which occupants are knowingly placed in danger.

Nowata County Sheriff Terry Sue Barnett submitted a letter of resignation after being ordered by Carl G. Gibson to place inmate in a facility with a list of alleged safety violations which if true included incidents of electric shocks in showers and unsolved carbon monoxide leaks.

Carl G. Gibson declared Sheriff Terry Sue Barnett resignation void. A judge cannot stop someone from quitting their job. Anyone practicing US law should know this. If the conditions of the jail are as bad as they are said to be, this building is unsafe and it would be criminal to allow its continued use until repaired. Carl G. Gibson's comments about the budget shows that he cares more about saving money than he does about the safety of others and the law itself.

I had med records that stated my son was grabbed and pinched around his neck by his father, I had pics of the way he sends them back to. Wich was horrible. Still look like physical abuse was going on, and he ignored it pretty much saying a lil hygiene issue. The pic I have are horrible I have never seen a kid so beat up and bruise. My ex husband was very violent with me right after I had my youngest and he also chokes me and sent me into false labor. The petitioner had nothing bad to say about me.
My ex sister in law was a cop in this county.

From reading the other comments made about Judge Gibson on the website, it is apparent to me that people just make things up. I know for a fact that Judge Gibson has NEVER been fishing with Autumn Parrish’s dad!! He is a good man and we need A LOT more like him and A LOT less like some of the people commenting on this website.

"judge" Gibson has now violated a large number of citizens' Constitutional rights with the banning of Attorney Perry Newman of Owasso from representing any more clients or filing any more motions in Nowata County District Court in September of 2012. The Constitution of the United States guarantees the right to have legal representation in Court. "judge" Gibson violated the rights of all of Attorney Perry Newmans' current and potential clients' Constitutional rights. Therefore, "judge' Gibson violated his oath of office in which he swore to uphold and obey the laws of the Constitution of the united States of America. Not only should "judge" Gibson be removed from the bench immediately, he should be charged with the high crimes of malfeasance, incompetence, and dereliction of duty and disbarred so that he can never malpractice again. During the Oklahoma State Supreme Court hearing in which he was ordered to attend, "judge" Gibson committed perjury by lying under oath to a representative of the Oklahoma State Supreme Court by stating he did not ban Attorney Perry Newman from practicing law in Nowata County.The official sworn Nowata County District Court transcript clearly states "judge" Gibson did in fact ban Attorney Perry Newman from practicing law in Nowata County. It is too bad this rating system does not have zero as a low rating, because "judge" Gibson is the poster child for judicial misconduct and his Kangaroo Court antics can no longer be tolerated!

This man/want to be Judge, has been fishing with Autumn Parrish's father numerous times. The relationship with her father is the reason she got off with a $2500 bond. Every one of these statements that say it's Gibson's law in his court room are exactly right. He has no regard for State Law, only the way he feels that day. I have been in front of this man a few times and not once has he even looked me in the eyes. In Nowata county it's who you know that depends on your bail/outcome not the crime that was committed.He think's he is the God in Nowata county and maybe he is but what kind of a God is a alcoholic/addict? If you don't believe that statement just ask around about his drug use. Somebody please REMOVE this wanna be God from our Courthouse! That would be true Justice!

Judge Gibson thinks he's god and he doesn't even look the defendents in the face while he makes his rulings. My nephew got a DUI and missed a court date. His attorney told the judge it was his fault because he told him he didn't need to be there and he would take care of the court. Judge Gibson kicked him out of drug court, set his bond at $50,000 and set a court date almost 5 months away. When his attorney asked for a reduction in bond, Gibson asked him if he wanted to go to jail with his client. $50k bond or sit in jail, when manslaughter only gets you $2500.00. What's up with this corrupt court?

gave a suspended sentence or deferred sentence to a former nowata county deputy. for molesting a child. did no jail time was let out on his own recognesce. where is the justice in that that is how fair he is he is fair to the criminals. plays in an illegal poker game and when other players that were playing with him get pulled over for dui they call him to get out of it guess he got the money back he lost that night

On Monday Sept. 10,”Judge” Carl Gibson banned attorney Perry Newman from representing any clients in the Nowata County Okla. Courthouse forever. “Judge” Carl Gibson has done away with the constitution of the United States in the County of Nowata Oklahoma. My personal experience with Judge Gibson of intentionally violating my Constitutional rights, and forcing me to have him overturned twice this year, with further appeals to the Oklahoma Supreme Court now in progress against Judge Gibson, leaves me no alternative but to seek the removal of Carl Gibson as Judge in the Nowata County Courthouse.

This man has to go he likes to play judge and d.a. He set a county workers bail at 2500 after she got drunk and killed 3 kids and left the site of the crash. This guy must go, he calls people by nicknames and has a well know drinking problem.When a lawyer gets him over ruled he is now trying to bar the lawyer from his court room what a pice of work.

Judge Gibson is a stern and honest judge, he does not take any playing around in his court room and that is why some lawyers don't like him because they can't run over him. Any time I have been in his court room he has been understanding and fair, giving everyone a chance.
