Comments:
I've had two different cases in front of this judge. The first time I was Pro Se and my ex-wife had an attorney. The judge acted over friendly with the my ex's attorney before the case even started. I presented mountains of evidence (including citing OK Statues verbatium) yet the judge just acted dumb and didn't really care what I had to say. Incidentally, this case had to do with an interstate transfer of a child support order. There are federal laws that govern the transfer of child support order between states. The judge ignored them, so I obviously lost. The judge said that all the laws I cited were just guidelines anyway. I hired an attorney who assembled a 600-page appeal with my evidence. She denied my appeal citing, "the totality of the case" and nothing more.

The second case I hired an attorney to try for better results without trying to represent myself again. My ex-wife had the same attorney as the first case. This case also had a Guardian Ad Litem whose report heavily favored the kids to reside with me. During the hearing, my ex-wife admitted on the stand to physical abusing to one of the kids, admitted that she didn't inform me when one another one of our kids was suspended from school for dealing drugs and also admitted to previously not reporting one of her income sources in order to get more child support from me. Surprise surprise, the judge ruled in favor of my ex-wife again!

This judge changed my perception of fairness in the courtroom and the entire family court system. Men don't have a chance no matter how much evidence you have, laws you cite, GAL report in your favor, or self-damning testimony given from the ex-wife. This costly and time-consuming ordeal is a hard lesson to accept for doing the right thing. Judge Pickering is an embarrassment to the judiciary and to the State of Oklahoma. No justice, no fairness, no equality--simply walk into the court room with a uterus and your case is won.
