Concur. Fortunely, I was contacted by one of his staffer who verifes exactly what the respondent below is claiming. Yes, I have their statements recorded and in a very secure place. Check and Checkmate

There is nothing honorable about this judge. The fact that he "finally" stepped down means he should be investigated in his ruling against women and disabled minority women whom are married to substantially financially stable men. Judge ruled that these women should and be without their homes or proper care if disabled. He needs to
be held accountable and his rulings against women should be investigated. My children are homeless and unable to have a normal life of American children with childsupport or Alimony for the mother to be able to take care of them. Please see his rulings.

What a pleasant surprise! I just had a long and complicated matter in front of Judge Funderburk, and I have never known a more hardworking and dedicated member of the Bench. He will bend over backwards to make sure that his litigants get their grievances heard, but then he is strong in laying down the principles which must control. It is such a breath of fresh air to have a judge on the domestic bench who cares so much. He is one of the best I've ever seen, and I've been practicing law for over thirty years.

This judge definitely follows the lines in which political careers and butter could be spread. The evidence for this is the rating below; just follow the attorney and litigants involved -- the judicial brotherhood and Oklahoma's good ol' boy political system. Overstepping the bounds of the United States Constitution -- what a surprise.

He was very professional, took into consideration all the evidence at the hearing, and pointed out lies and mistakes in the opposing side's testimony. He upheld Oklahoma laws and guidelines. I was very pleased with the outcome.

This judge needs to be investigated. A review of his case docket would reveal that he has no regard for following the laws of Oklahoma. I would encourage any individual that has had any proceedings in which their constitutional rights and civil liberties were violated to file a complaint with the Oklahoma Judiciary Committee. I have appeared before this judge for three years now (since August of 2010) in post-divorce litigation.

He chose not to follow the law regarding spousal support, because apparently he doesn't feel like he should uphold the laws that he's been sworn to uphold. He stated that, just because the law says it, doesn't mean that's the way it should be.

Family practice law is broken. Neither side gets justice...even if they can PAY for justice. But, the system does EXACTLY what it was set up to do by holders of law degrees...i.e. make attorneys money. The law is sexist. How many sitting judges in OK have set through the seminar we have to pay for (Helping Children Cope With Divorce)? The attorney who was moderator of mine started out "80% of you shouldn't be forced to take this seminar". That, from an agent of the court! I hold an earned doctorate so I am AT THE VERY LEAST of the same professional level as anyone with whom I dealt! I spent thousands of dollars and 9 months for a very simple recalculation of child SUPPORT...NOT CONTESTED!!!! As I said, the entire system is broken AGAINST "We The People", but is doing what it was designed to do.

Funderburk started out violating my rights until I immediately filed a recusal on him. Then he turned somewhat the other direction.

After years of litigation I did get more time with my child but he does have a tendency to misuse the law and said in my case that he wouldn't backdate my "Motion to Modify" to the origional date of filing (which is the law) simply because we were in a "court of equities" which simply means that he can either follow the law or not. This cost me several thousand dollars.

I see now why people have made the negative comments about him.

Most judges are corrupted and he is emerging as one of those for me after the things that I have witnessed.

Judge Funderburk temporarily took custody of my 4 year old grandchild away from his Mother due to substance abuse issues/charges. I have no issue with that, but.....he gave temporary custody to the father, who allowed my grandchild to be mentally and physically abused while in his custody by his wife (child's stepmother). if abusers are clever (abusing in such a way of making it difficult to prove, calling the child disturbed, a liar..etc....the child is (pardon my language..) screwed. Why would there not be a check of that new home? one can stand before the judge with an attorney, and is assumed party represented ok - and placement in that uninvestigated home is assumed in best interest of child. if the other parent, and in this case the wicked abusing step mother - has no criminal background...free license to get temporary custody and further abuse an already devasted child ...and no stipulation for re check (no mandatory "come back to court to prove the child is ok and that the placement was in child's best interest..). no liason/representation appointed for the child....no mandatory counselor to hear what the child may say about the new placement...so the child had/has NO VOICE...still has NO VOICE...system is screwed up...EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF REPRESENTATION AND METHOD OF VOICE TO BE HEARD...EVERY TIME...NO EXCECPTIONS...grandparents have little rights...child welfare departments over loaded, inaffective, and non responsive...i understand cases are many and difficult...but the CHILD SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A VOICE...

The numerous 10 star ratings for this judge make no sense whatsoever. I would not be surprised if they were planted by the judge himself or his friends. I know of many attorneys and judges who consider Funderburk to be one of the worst judges in the family court if not the absolute worst. I will not repeat the nickname used for him around the courthouse but you can probably figure out something close to it from his name. As for myself, I have personally watched him make completely irrational rulings. For example, he terminated custody from a father based on dubious abuse allegations "for the safety of the child" but then granted that father unsupervised visitation. True, there was no compelling evidence of abuse so terminating parental custody was a ruling. But, if he is going to terminate custody based on abuse, it makes no sense to grant unsupervised visitation; that's completely illogical. I've also watched him ignore testimony and evidence and make rulings that appear to have no other basis than his own personal whims or biases. He generally appears distracted and bored on the bench and the way he conducts cases often feel as though he has determined his ruling before all the evidence has been given. All in all, he is an awful judge and you should look at all these high ratings with great skepticism. It is by God's grace he was defeated in his bid to move up from special judge to district judge.

I was present in the court room when this judge imposed a $250,000 cash bond on this man whom never once returned his daughter late. This man without an attorney who apparently moved from another state to be in his daughters life. After researching this case further, this man has no record that should impede his relationship with his daughter. He does have two very successful sons. This judge did not care to read the briefs or study the case in depth, nor did he have any interest in the fact that this man has been persecuted over a very long period at the hand of the mothers attorneys. In essence this judge has endosed the corrupt behaviour of James Feamster and Adam Carroll, the largest contributors to his campaign today.

Judge Funderburk is truly one of the best judges I have ever had the pleasure of appearing before, and working with. Regardless of the facts of the case, he listenes to each party, and makes fair determinations. He is always on time, stays as late as needed, sometimes till 8, to insure speedy resolutions to cases. Absolutely the best in Tulsa County.

The record speaks for itself. In a very lop-sided pro-woman court Judge Funderburk is no different. Men get slaughtered in this court to detriment of the county. If imposing a $250,000 bond on a father whom he knew could not afford to pay it, he then effectively removed the child from her father forever. And he did this without viable evidence. This very clearly was not in the child's best interest.

It's my opinion Judge Funderburk is a fair and honorable individual. He seems unbias and not gender specific in matters regarding children. He tends to rule in the best interest of the children in the matter at hand and handles each case individually

He is absolutely one of the best judges in all areas. He is ther ebefore anyone else, works late, knows your case, reads the briefs, and has always made good decisions. They do not always favour me, but they are fair, and I understand the basis for as much. Truly destined to be one of the best ever in Tulsa County.
