Rating:10.0
Comments:
Long time judge in Oklahoma County. Has a reputation for fairness and great work ethic. Often cited as the best trial judge in Oklahoma, including federal judges.

Court Staff

Comment #: OK1437
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Like a number of judges in the lower courts, Judge Dixon seems educated and earnest, but the unfair decisions seems swayed by attorneys rather than seeking facts and applying law.
A good judge does not allow favoritism to set into his decisions.

Criminal Defense Lawyer

Comment #: OK1257
Rating:Not Rated
Comments:
Judge Dixon pulled a "split the baby" trick on me in a civil appeal suit, where he found in my favor on all issues regarding numerical proof and found in favor of the other party on the one issue where the other party had absolutely no substantiating proof. (The other party was a state agency. I assumed that he simply didn't want to run the risk of a tax audit.)

Civil Litigation - Private

Comment #: OK628
Rating:5.5
Comments:
Judge Dixon appears to be a nice guy but does not like to be told what the law is. If you are a female, arguments made to him must be carefully worded so as to avoid insulting his self image. I learned this the hard way and am not the only one who has experienced this in Dixon's courtroom -- several other female attorneys have recognized this about him as well.

A very good judge.
