Comments:
Sadly my trust towards our legal system was destroyed by the complete lack of decency towards the basic principles of the rules of law.
Including the people behind the scenes whom chose to look the other way, when they knew what is happening to me was shameful.

Comments:
Judge Rastetter was caught gossiping in emails to other judges and court staff, outright lying about a pro se litigant--thereby prejudicing other judges of the court. He is an absolute disgrace, more childish than an actual child.

Comments:
Does not reading pleadings submitted by Attorneys against pro se litigants and signs them even if the statutory requirements have not been met by the attorneys as a matter of law. He extreme bias to pro se litigants and intentionally disregards required legal authorities which he took an oath and is bound by. He deprives pro se litigants of fundamental rights without due process. He violates the local SLR’s that he himself helped author procedures for in the Clackamas County Reference Manual. He took an oath to uphold the U.S. constitution & the Oregon Constitution and he knowingly acts without jurisdiction and beyond the legal authority and power granted to him by Oregon’s legislative branch and executive branch and rules not as a matter of the law but as he see’s fit by unsubstantiated attorney declarations and knows that a pro se will not have the knowledge or skill to pursue his abuses of discussion and that the appeal courts will likely support his rulings solely because it is highly unlikely that a pro se litigant will write a brief substantiated by valid legal arguments and proper rules of law for which the appeal courts give their legal basis for their opinions and decisions. Therefore let it be known, the Honorable Thomas J. Rastetter requires the state of Oregon to investigate the deprivation of fundamental rights of its states citizens and a thorough private investigation into this judges misconduct which is required for justice.

I agree with everybody else that this Judge really doesn't listen to testimony and runs out of the courtroom after his decision. He doesn't honor the wishes of the deceased, Wills, or legal paperwork. Obvious favoritism to some. Really unfair and unfortunate if you have legal matters occurring in Clackamas county. Arrogant, menacing and truly doesn't follow the Rule of Law, because he can.

I agree with commenter OR277 below: I feel this judge had decided what he was going to rule before he walked through the door. Justice was not served because he didn't even bother to hear the whole case before abruptly making a ruling (He looked bored for the duration of the trial.) that made no sense in favor of the plaintiff.

Had made his ruling before entering the court room, the will was NOT applied according to law ORS227.13 the will is the controlling force (ignored by him), the will made my sister the PR, he appointed a lawyer instead, violating the "will' and the "law", He ran out of the court room, showing disrespect for the case, and not following ORCP.

Did not rule by law. The defendant proved her case without a shadow of a doubt but he ruled in favor of the plaintiff, an unscrupulous collection agency known for flouting the law. The plaintiff's representative seemed uninterested in the proceedings and it was obviously just a perfunctory trial as the collection agency knew it did not have to do anything to win the case.

Judge Rastetter acted as a settlement judge in an extremely acrimonious civil case. He was creative, and worked extremely hard to come up with a settlement that worked for everyone. A great judge.
