My daughter who was 14 at the time was kidnapped drugged and SA'D she was held prisoner by him for 16 hours she heroically managed to escape had to walk 5 MI to call for help. When it came time for sentencing this judge was making jokes the whole time like it wasn't a serious or big deal he was laughing when he read the charges of sex abuse that was inflicted upon my daughter he has no business being a judge and he sentenced this person to only 5 years in prison that should be a crime. Kidnapping is supposed to be 15 years horrible judge if you get assigned him request someone else

We were successful in a hearing that he presided over. Although we were successful, his demeanor, professionalism, and ego was atrocious at best. He truly seemed like he didn't care, and acted like a spoiled child that didnt want to share his courtroom.

In June of 2016 Judge Bloom ruled on my mother's case. She was mentally ill and in a very bad place due to not taking her medications. I was trying to have her involuntarily committed to get her the help she desperately needed. He showed up to the hearing late, he did not seem to be listening, and he constantly checked his watch. After hearing my mom admit that she believed that drinking cleaning chemicals could heal her, that she believed she could control fire with her hands and mind, and that she could swe and speak to god, he told her she was free to go as long as she took her medications and gave her no follow up. Several months later she was still not taking her medications. In October she was hit by a car while crossing the street. She was not driving her car due to the fact that her license had been revoked due to crashing her car while off her medication. I truly believed that if he had ruled differently my mother would not be paralyzed.
