I think Judge Farina may be retired now - not sure - but what a FABULOUS judge!!! I appeared before him pro se on two municipal (non-criminal) charges that I felt very strongly about. He was patient, kind, reasoned, and not afraid to rule against the municipality and throw out the law - as he agreed with me it was unconstitutional.
Then told me I missed my calling and should have been a lawyer - which I considered the ultimate compliment from this awesome jurist. I don't say he is awesome because i won - it is because of the way he handled the issue, the lawyers and witnesses and his courtroom. Even if I had lost, he still let me have my "day in court", which is more than can be said for many other PA judges. I nominate Judge Farina for the PA Supreme Court! The very best there is!!!
