Comments:
Judge Cianfrani runs the courtroom, like her own reality show, making up the rules, and imparting her own strange form of justice, as she goes. She reinvented testimony and redefined evidence to fit her perverse ruling. There are a plethora of other cases, in which she has done the same, if not worse. Judges like this should not be simply reassigned, like she was, but should be removed completely from the bench/voted out, to prevent any other litigants/children of litigants from unbridled, unwarranted and unconstitutional judicial reigns of terror. While there are fair and honorable judges in the court system, judges like her weaken the public’s trust in the entire judiciary. When making a ruling, especially one that affects the lives of children, there should be no standard, other than the best interests of the child standard, and the law, that is used. The judge’s private friendship with counsel is not a standard. The judge’s private financial interests is not a standard. And profitability derived from court constructed dysfunction is certainly not a standard. Power in the hands of the abusive, inevitably creates, unprecedented abuses of power. Now that she is transferred to the Orphans’ Division, I can only pray that there is some kind of integral oversight, that will keep an eye on what decisions she makes for those who really don’t have a voice. Judge Deborah Cianfrani is a horrible representation of the Pennsylvania Family Court System, and as long as she remains on the bench, she puts the physical, emotional, psychological, and financial well-being, of all who encounter her, in grave straits.
