I sent in his court all day long just to here my uncontested divorce which would have taken all of 5 minutes. I arrived at his court at 8am and was the 1st called up of the pro se litigants he looked at my final decree for a minute then informed me that I would need to go across the street to the Law library and ask for a motion to consolidate (which I didn't think Judges could tell you what type of motions you need to file). He tells me it should only take 20 minutes and to fill the motion out and bring back and we would get my divorce handled. I returned to his court around 20 minutes later and by that time the court had filled with attorneys. This judge made me sit in his court all day until about 12:30pm before he called me to the bench to finish my divorce. At one point the bailiff told him I was back and I heard the Judge say oh sheesh and wave his hand like he didn't care. All day he heard the attorney's which their cases were way more complex than mine and took longer to handle. I got the feeling while sitting there all day that the more money you had the quicker you were seen. The justice system is supposed to treat pro se litigants the same way they would treat lawyers and not like we are trash off the street. I have a job and other things to do than wait in this mans court room all day my time is just as valuable as his as a matter of fact mine is more valuable considering I pay this jerks salary with my tax dollars! I learned today that the Tarrant County Family Courts are a joke and only care about making money and not rendering fair and just decisions as they took an oath of office to do.

Jerry Hennigan is no better than Beth Polous (whom he appointed as Associate Judge). Judge Hennigan, often calling litigants names from the bench, literally laughing about the abuse of a woman, treating witnesses with disrespect, and unwilling to hear blatant evidence harmful to a child, having conversations with attorneys and judges about cases over a Cold Coors Light, should be removed. Judge Hennigan, just like his appointed Associate Judge, runs a kangaroo court. He should be ashamed of the way he treats people in his courtroom and I hope that if he runs for re-election, that people come out in droves to testify to the public about his outlandish behavior in the court room.

Please, everyone who experiences Judge Polous or Jerry Hennigan and their biases against women and their disrespect for law please file a complaint with the Texas Commission of Judicial Conduct. These two judges must be brought to justice before they hurt more families.
